Everything’s fine

Everything’s fucked

Everything’s on fire

But only in my mind

Fumes and flames

Licking at my feet

Not sure if I put it out

Or accept that I’m beat.

I could let it win

Feel the heat before the smoke

Then I wake back up

Learn not to choke

My chest is tight

I can’t find the water

That brings me reprieve

Instead I just hold the fodder

Everything is fine

And everything is fucked.

No use crying now

Because it’s only in my mind
