I've used HR Block online tax prep for a few years. I know there's cheaper/free options, but I like the option to have a tax pro review what you put in. It's worked great until this year--I'll try to keep this brief but wanted to share with others.

I submitted all my documents and data to the tax pro in mid-February. I noticed the amount I owed federally was quite a bit more than I expected, which I noted to the tax pro in my message for her. As has happened in past years, about two days later I got the message my taxes were done and ready for my approval, but they were not there when I logged on. Commence literally three weeks of both me and the tax pro contacting technical support to fig

There's a whole lesson about fats, and how making something non-fat or lowfat often adds a bunch of extra processing, which is unnecessary. I totally agree with all that. And yet, nonfat yogurt is a green food, and full-fat whole yogurt is a red food. It feels better and more aligned with the Noom philosophy as a whole to eat a less-processed food that keeps me full for a longer time.

Am I missing something? I've only been on Noom for a few weeks so I could be missing something!

Our new house has a stone shower with a square and (as far as we can tell) non-removable drain. There is no hardware to remove it, and it doesn’t pull out. (Tried to post a pic but Imgur is giving me issues for some reason). It’s clogged and I would like to unclog it, ideally without Drano. I’ve always just taken out the drain and used a mini snake but what can I do with this type of drain?

EDIT: Tried to post a photo of a similar drain but the automod removed it.

I need to remove a lien from my auto title, which is currently only being done by mail. However, my name has changed and I need to sort out how to fix that. I have tried calling the DMV to ask them about this on multiple different numbers on different days, and I always get a message saying they are too busy and to call back another time. I sent them an email as well and never heard anything back from them. I only have 30 days from when I got the title to remove the lien through the DMV before I start accruing penalties, and now I'm coming up on that because I can't reach anybody. Has anybody had luck getting in touch with the DMV since COVID?

Hi all, we moved into a house last month that has a large kitchen island, containing a Wolf gas range and a downdraft range hood. We have now discovered mice in the kitchen and are pretty sure they are getting in somehow through the range/hood, since droppings seem centered in the island drawers, under the range/oven, and in the pantry, but there's no holes to outside whatsoever in the pantry. We have set traps and have already starting catching the buggers, but does anybody have advice on finding entry points with a range in an island? In other houses when I've had mice, I've pulled out the range from the wall and closed holes along the wall, but obviously that isn't quite the same here?

I'm so sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this, I'm not sure where would be better.

I just made the last payment on my car and received the title in the mail. My state is only accepting mail-in requests for removing liens from titles right now. Both my address and my name have changed since I bought the car. The title says if my address has changed, I should just cross out the old one and write the new one on the title, but what about my name? I've tried to reach someone at DMV to ask this and can't get a hold of anybody. I was thinking of also crossing out my name and writing my new one, and including photocopies of my marriage license (which has my name change on it) and my driver's

I'm 36 weeks tomorrow and my doctor told me to bring some nursing bras to the hospital, but I keep seeing online that you shouldn't buy until after birth since you don't know what size you'll be. Should I just order a couple of cheap ones? Should I order based on my current measurements or go up a size? Or down?

Hi all, I was just approved for a 900k 20-year term life insurance policy, at a cost of $24.96 per month ($299.52/year).

I am 28 years old but I count as 29 years old, because I've passed my half-birthday. History of some mild health issues but very healthy (and very pregnant) currently. This seems like a good rate to me but I would love a reality check if not.

EDIT: I should add there is no option for life insurance through my employer, and my husband and soon-to-be born child will rely in large part on my income, so I do feel term life insurance is a good idea.

Hi all, I'm sure this is a common issue these days. Pre-COVID, my husband and I left the house for work every day and our dog (9yo Black Lab) hung out at home all day no problem, didn't get into anything. We have both been home pretty much full-time for the last four months given the pandemic. More recently we have started to venture out together for short periods, and every time we leave our dog will get into the trash, rip up spare paper, etc. Today we left for just 10 minutes to pick something up and made sure the trash and everything was put away--he ended up finding an unopened cardboard box of cream somewhere.

I know he's anxious and has gotten used to us being home. We try to give

I've searched and read the wiki and for whatever reason (probably my own stupidity) still can't figure out a straight answer here. Is the total that I can put into these two accounts per year $19,500 combined (for example, $9,750 into each), or could I put $19,500 into each account since it's still below the total limit of $57,000 for 2020?
