…she had poison ivy.
Having had poison ivy that required creams and steroids and made me miserable, I was rewatching episode 2 & 3 last night and thought to myself “I would do okay in the wilderness, unless I had poison ivy like Jackie and then I would have been so miserable and just want to give up”.
So maybe she would have been a better sport if she hadn’t been so itchy!
I want to hang multiple shelves on one wall but don't want to make 4+ holes per shelf I hang. I know they make shelf tracks like these, where you attach these to the studs and then put your shelves with the hooks on the tracks.
But I was thinking I could just do this by putting two pieces of wood vertically on the studs as tracks and then drilling the brackets for the shelves into that wood.
I haven't seen anyone do this online, so I am curious if there is an obvious reason this won't work that I am missing. Thanks!
My partner and I will be changing our last names in the next year to match the last name we gave my child when he was born (it's a combination of our current last names).
Once our names are legally changed, I know there is a long list of items we will need to change and entities to inform. Do we have to do anything in regards to our minor child?
I would imagine we need to tell his pediatrician and school, but do any sort of official legal records regarding the name of his parents need to change?
We're located in New York State, outside of NYC. Thank you!
My pattern says this: Chain 17 Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc to end (16 sc) Row 2: sc 6, ch 1, turn work Row 3: sc to end, ch 1, turn work
I don’t understand where row two goes. This is my first time not crocheting in the round so I’m guessing it’s simple and I just don’t know. Thank you for any help or links to videos or similarly written patterns with pictures!
Maybe I missed this in all the discussions about censorship but in “Pass the Parcel” Lucky shouts “you suck dad!” It’s not super audible but the subtitles are clear.
Not that I think they should have censored that but it seems surprising they didn’t considering all the other stuff they did!
My almost 4yo has just started preschool and the thing that has been the hardest for him is that there are so many rules and he doesn’t want to follow them. It’s not an issue the teachers have mentioned, so I don’t think it’s a behavioral issue yet, but he’s an only child and because he is very relaxed and we are very relaxed at home we don’t have a lot of “rules” he has to strictly follow at home.
We have some books about being nervous about school but I’m interested to see if there are any about how the rules at school are different and getting used to those…
Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks!!
On quickbooks desktop, is there any way to enter a bunch of invoice numbers and have them all print? I need to print a random bunch of old invoices to send to clients as past dues, and I want to print them. Is there something easier than searching for each invoice number and printing it?
We bought this house in the fall and are learning what’s growing here. One area had an old thick stump and a rose bush of some kind (old owner was way into roses and I am reaping the rewards).
We dug out a garden around it to plant some bulbs and along the way pulled out some sumac and some thiiiick roots.
Is it possible for a plant to be vindictive? Because I assumed it would try and grown back but it’s making it’s mark all over the lawn now, like a horror movie where the villain just won’t die.
Am I just going to be pulling up baby sumac every time I go outside for the rest of my life?
My 3 year old has been great at wearing his "super hero" mask since the beginning of this whole thing. He'll pull it back up on his own, if someone knocks on the door he goes to get a mask... he seems to get it.
However, his masks always end up with a wet spot. I think part of it is sometimes having a runny nose from being out in the cold running around, but maybe he's also a wet breather? We always have to bring extras to switch out if they get wet.
Anyone else have this issue and want to commiserate or share any tips or mask recommendations?
thanks!

We bought a 100 year old house, old owners lived here for 40 years and did some work which we are now discovering is... creative.
The first time it rained and we were still learning which windows the rain would come in, some of the window sills got wet and the towels I used to dry them now have stain on them (and one curtain too).
What did they do wrong when they stained these? Did they not seal them, can I just do that now? The stain is displaced where the water was, can I just get a damp cloth and spread it around again before I seal it (if that’s what I need to do)?
Thank you!!
