I've started two secure email channels with them, get a response requesting to submit some documents, I then do that, and I get no response whatsoever. Nothing in the email, I send follow up emails, and still nothing. This happened twice over a span of 3 months.

I then call their number, and I'm unable to reach a human because my phone number and SSN doesn't match anything in their database despite the fact that I have a whole account with the exact same information where I can view my entire employment data!

The last resort is mail, but given the fact that phone/email is so utterly useless, I'm hesitant to waste time here. How did you people out there freeze TWN??

There's no reviews or videos on these. The K3/K1 QMK has these switches, wondering if they are any good.

  1. How accessible is the local storage outside of the network? Coming from Arlo, local storage requires port forwarding and setup of the router.

  2. Does "wired" means power is wired, and data transfer is wireless?

  3. How good is multi-homebase support?

  4. How well is camera sharing and local storage access to shared members? Again, coming from Arlo, local storage access is only available to the owner.

  5. If I get a homebase to centralize all recordings from the cameras, is there any point to install storage on the camera itself?

If positive answers to all 5, what would be a good setup to start with? I don't really need 4K, AI, or other fancy features. I just want it to detect motion

I need an inexpensive device with the following requirements:

  • Android 13+
  • Will not be using any SIM, it just needs to run a work profile to primarily use MS Outlook and Teams
    • so if a carrier locked device is cheaper, then it will be a better choice
    • will only use phone with wifi
  • not crazy big
  • supports android enterprise (in order to install work profile. pretty much all phones do?)

Got a parking ticket 4 months ago, I had no physical ticket on my vehicle, and just now got a notification from my rental car company. Issuer will not let me fight it because I am way beyond the contesting window. This is unfair to me because not only am I unable to contest it, the ticket amount has doubled which the company has paid for but now asking for me to reimburse + additional fees. While I am responsible for the initial parking violation itself, it's unfair that I have to pay the late fees that the rental car company could've totally avoided if they weren't so damn slow on processing it.

My company is first and foremost a hardware company, and I am first and foremost an embedded firmware software engineer. For the past half year, 50% my work has been on an internal web service using ReactJS for frontend and python for backend. Then 50% of my other work is embedded firmware where I have to understand hardware, code in C, debug in assembly under different ISAs, more, run simulations and review waveforms, and many more low level tasks.

The question is, in the future how should I sell myself on my resume? Should I just say I worked two different positions in my company, one after the other, or that I did them simultaneously? I am happy with my work as I get to learn many thing

Only thing I changed out was was the wifi card to a $15 Intel 9260.

Everything else was stock including the Samsung PM961 OEM SSD. I was very surprised that everything went without a hitch given my SSD and wifi card.

The only thing things that doesn't work is my bluetooth (tbh the BT on this thing sucks anyways) and the brightness only has 4 true steps.

I used dragonflylee's config and only swapped out the wifi kext.

Edit: Bluetooth now works with OpenIntelWireless!

All my experience as a software engineer has been under firmware/embedded working with low level languages. I've been wanting to make the switch to backend, unfortunately I don't have a lot of experience with backend and would probably fail any backend interview that isn't Leetcode or my domain. What would be a good project to take on to learn backend? For those that made this switch, how was your experience?

I'm going back to extract my top two wisdom teeth after 3 years getting the bottom ones out. My insurance pretty much covers the extraction price, but the dentistry billed me 2x "coll plug" each at $200 and my insurance didn't cover it at all. I don't remember having a collagen plug nor paying for it the first time, so I'm wondering if this coll plug is necessary or is the dentistry just trying to make some extra bucks?
