Is this why on one of mine I keep getting io error?

That's the error, so very likely this issue.

Happening to me too. I noticed my local storage kept not letting me access it, took SD card out, formatted on a computer, seemed fine, then still not working in Arlo. This product is garbage.

Are you sure this isn’t intentional by Arlo? To force you to subscribe to their cloud storage offering?

I am also experiencing this bug. My WMB4540 base station was working fine with my USB drives until about two months ago and then I began getting storage corruption messages. I am happy to find this thread because now I know it is not the drives and something wrong with the base station. Sadly I have little faith in Arlo fixing this issue at least anytime soon.

Thanks for posting this. I’m experiencing this bug, too. Been driving myself batty trying to figure out what’s wrong with my SD card.

Weird I’ve never had this.

Yeah, been dealing with this periodically for a year. They keep telling me to delete the base station from my account, which of course makes it work fine for awhile since I have to go set up all my cameras again.

They've got a nasty race condition in their storage sub-system because they're contracting out their firmware to the lowest bidder.

microSD cards are highly prone to corruption FYI

Thanks for this post and KB link! Still no fix yet. And for those wondering:

It's happening no matter the number of partitions or initial format. I've repartitioned to single, tried XFAT and FAT32, several different cluster sizes, and quick or slow formatting. (I've used FAT32 gui)

It gets recorrupted every few days.
