Hello, I’ve been working with a specific AI company for a few years, the work is fun but not something you could do full time, they now have given me a referral link, it’s spesicially for ”finance, medical, law, STEM, coding” so if you feel like you fit the bill, feel free to shoot me a message, just sortly (2-3 sentences) explaining your history/skills with some of these, if it’s a fit i will refer you

I’ve been with my wife for over 9 years. I think in 2014 i met my soulmate. First sight there was something. We hang out, never much, but we did kiss once and it was amazing. He asked me to be with him i said no because of all the life i have i cant break it. I love my wife but still i think about him last time today. Also in high school with my best friend we had something but we were always just best friends we sorta did more but he stopped bc he saw i was not so in it and when i got a girlfriend he was sad and let go so we drifted apart (but also now that im older im not sure anymore if it was because i didnt like him or because like the situation kinda freaked me out at the time?) but no

When you have had happy clients at the end of your project and you’ve asked them to close the project (and rate you) and they haven’t done it, how/ at which time do you gently nudge towards it? I usually ask a week or two later if everything is ok or if they still have questions etc, and if/when all is good I’ll ask again to close the project while letting them know i’d be happy to work with them again, and at that stage they can just open another project, and usually at this stage they just ghost. And I don’t want to bother them ofc either, but at the moment i have like 75% of my projects dormant and most of them could be closed, and I’m sure the client would give me a good rating if they w
Hello! Upwork recently encouraged me to get a ”Top Rated Plus” badge by ”working on a large contract”, but also mentioned they don’t put out any numeric (earnings?) values for qualifications as it all just kinda depends. It also remains unclear to me, if a project needs to be closed with reviews, to qualify as a (large) contract? I have some dozen K with 100% JSS and 5 stars, but most of my jobs are under 2K and still open (I’m new).
The most info I found was a random LinkedIn post, quoting something like 8-10 k as qualifying as a large contract in IT/marketing field - can anyone verify this or is it more/less? My ”largest” ie ”most-made” contract is around 100 days and 4K made, but doesn’
As I lay awake, immobile and unable to talk, I kept thinking; while my leg is gone, at least all the merely hatched tarantula eggs will enjoy the warmth of the light
[Years ago] I went to my childhood friend’s (brooke) birthday and she was always a bit of a ”town boy” and her close circle consisted of this group of guys who were all bunch of like… dudebros. Like sports! cars! gambing! dude-bro jokes! etc. Nice guys, just not my flavor, including the yelling, sports gear, lingo, constant high-fiving etc. I’d met all of them berofe, except for ”Otto”.
So Otto is Brooke’s family friend and this very hiphop-dude, obsessed with fancy cars and swag idk, we didn’t pay much attention to each other. When i arrived, Brooke asked me where my girlfriend was, and i told her she had another thing. Otto got OBSESSED with me having a girlfriend and asked the other gu

She couldn’t believe her mom had sent her friend to let her pick any puppy she wanted from his van
Hello! Customers are sometimes asking me to book a call from their own system, which I think is fair and makes the process easier, but I will have to use my email for this, is that against TOS? I’ve also been asked to share my email to get access to see a sample job, so I can give a quote on price/time estimate - this I can’t do without giving the email, but I’m afraid the UpWork chat notices giving an email? Would it make a difference if I created a ”random” email for this, that doesn’t have my name on it and use that instead? All the after-convos and contracts have been in UpWork after these.
My spouse recently lost her only sibling, very suddenly and out of nowhere (young healthy man, freak accident type of thing. No funeral/ ”public announcement” was ever made as he was quite private). And while our friends know about it, random people and less close acquaintances abviously don’t.
Those we run into that remember her brother will ask how he is doing etc, new people might use ”do you have any siblings” as small talk. Every time, I see my spouse becoming very undone by this, it can shake her for a very long time, and obviously, having to answer to people who knew him that he is now dead will make everyone/everything very dark, but it’s even worse with the new people.
If they a
Hello! This is my first time doing work with thw hourly tracker so I want to make sure I don’t mess it up lol. So I have a few questions:
- Does it track whatever window I have open or do I have to change it, if I go from Google Sheets to Slack etc
- I use two screens, does it know how to switch between them?
- I have a lot of other accounts besides my client’s one, is there a way to obfuscate part of the screen when I open up, let’s say, a Google Ads account so they wouldn’t be visible?
- Does it record sound? :D Like if I’m listening to music at the same time do I need to make sure it’s not anything embarassing
- Anything else I should be aware of?
Thanks a bunch!
I live in an apartment complex and we have a smoking booth with walls + a roof, in our shared backyard. There are like 6-7 apartment buildings, the other side has a kid’s playground with swings, a sandbox etc, the other one, ”my side”, is just a walk-through area, with the smoking booth. Smoking anywhere else in the backyard is not allowed (which i think is good and fair!) The kids have started to use the smoking box as a ”playhouse”, bringing in toys, sand etc. Whenever i go out to smoke, if i see kids playing there i don’t go there ofc. But last time i had just sat down and lit my cigarette, when a bunch of kinds from the neighbouring house came there to play with their toys. I couldn’t le
Hi everyone, I hope it’s okay to post this here—if not, I totally understand and will delete. I’m working on a free, non-commercial side project and wanted to ask this community for input. I’ve seen how much tools like ChatGPT can help with things like:
- Understanding how others might interpret your words or tone (general convo / recording, ask for input after that like how did you interpret vs how might others interpret this and that)
- Rephrasing messages to reduce misunderstandings (”is this a standard polite answer” etc)
- Preparing for tricky conversations (rehearsing for a situation)
- Getting emotional clarity through simulated dialogue (like ”i said this, they got upset, i don’t un
