Bank savings account

Bank & Savings

I'm currently with the bank my parents use, which happens to be Argenta. Yield on a savings account there is very low.

I have been looking at other options for saving money I do not want to put in the market.

Looks like MeDirect or Bpost has the best offer, there do not seem to be hidden costs as far as I can tell.

Anyone with more experience regarding this? Any recommendations?

Example from argenta:

BE0172903495

1.32% running cost

past 10y per yearly performance: 7.02%

I assumed the following:

I always assumed 7% average return on the next 40 years

960€ invested every year in pension fund (1.32% running cost), with 288€ excepted from taxes invested in VT (0.09% running cost)

VS

960€ invested every year in VT (0.09% running cost)

Result: a whopping 1K € benifit saved on 40 years, for having your money locked away till 65 and possibly other taxes I overlooked

or did I fuk up basic math
