Is there a way to register online for a day pass? Or does one have to go to one of the locations and pay in person?

I’m feeling quite demotivated due to a number of factors:

  1. Made many mistakes at work and feel like I contributed to one project not doing well

  2. Feel overshadowed by other team members and not getting recognition. I don’t get along with them very well.

I feel a lot of shame and anxiety when errors show up as others can see when things don’t run smoothly. And that makes me more nervous. I also really need to keep this job for the next 1.5 years.

I’m very stressed and unhappy. The good thing is my team is changing but the shame is still too high. I feel i have a bad reputation in the company. Just here to vent

I’m currently on an H1B visa in the U.S. (little more than 2 years left for it to expire) and my employer is in the process of sponsoring my green card under the EB-2 category. My I-140 petition hasn’t been filed yet, but the PERM just got submitted. I understand that the green card process can take a while and am considering moving back to India in the near future for personal reasons.

I have some questions:

  1. If I move back to India, will I still be able to secure a job back in the U.S.? How easy is it to get a H1b visa again with an approved i-140 petition? This would be for a new employer

  2. I’ve changed teams in ny company but roles are nearly identical (just in different lines of

I deposited $700 into an ATM. The machine responded with a processing error, asked me to call on a Chase number to confirm if the money went through, and gave me a receipt with an AID#, Term ID and sequence #.

I called the number, and a claim was set up. Today they came back with a decision denying me the $700. They said they’ve inspected the ATM physically and didn’t find anything. It makes no sense to me.

On trying to escalate, they asked me to go to the branch there (the branch office had an ATM outside where I tried to deposit the cash) and bring up my issue. The branch managers might look for CCTV evidence.

This is all just so annoying. Any advice on how to proceed?

My coworker and I were to present today for a meeting (spanning across multiple teams in the company). We were notified a month in advance. Had all the materials ready and prepped well. We’ve been doing multiple presentations on our work across different teams.

During the teams meeting, I noticed I couldn’t unmute myself, share my screen or turn on video as these buttons were greyed out. I informed the organizer promptly and she toggled me to presenter. However that still didn’t work even after I restarted teams and joined - and my coworker had to present on my behalf. I did join through mobile later. There was a pop up that asked me to give permissions to record my voice but unmuting didn

I booked an appointment through VFS NYC for Portugal. The VFS website says jurisdiction for New Jersey residents is Newark. Will VFS NYC not process my application? Do I need to cancel?

If applying through Newark: does one need to complete the visa application first before selecting an appointment?

I also know Washington DC is accepting walk-ins : does jurisdiction matter here too?
