I've looked through the rules and I can't find anything say this isn't allowed.. so..
Have any of you done watch parties for movies on netflix/prime? I used to have a group on reddit where we did Friday night horror movies and chatted throughout it, etc.
Would anyone be interested in something like that, hanging out a couple hours a week with a movie on?

I don't even know how to describe how hurt I am.

So as many know it is Independence Day. Where I live, not only can we hear the approved fireworks from downtown but there are neighbors who often light off their own.
Every year we close all our doors and windows, put on the AC, some music our cat has always seemed to enjoy in hopes of helping to drown out the 'booms', and just hold and sing to him under the covers. He shakes for a good amount of time before he relaxes and falls asleep with us holding him.. Then we are stuck under the covers holding our cat for hours just so he can continue to sleep. If this is the only option, no questions, it will happen... That being said, is their something else that we could be doing to help him relax?
