I've been trying for a week now to either create or reset password for an account on the CA DMV website, and every single time I enter an email address it just refreshes with blank fields on the same page. I've tried Brave, Chrome, Safari, all with Ad blockers disabled, I've tried incognito, I've tried from my phone. Nada. Never works.

I feel like I'm going crazy - has anyone been able to login to their account or create an account or is the website just completely broken?

If anyone's thinking about attending, do it! I'll be setup there along with, I presume, a number of other professionals in this sub. It's a new show but they're really putting a lot of effort into making it a national-level show. PCGS will be doing on-site grading and NGC, PMG, and CACG will be accepting submissions. A lot of the big-name dealers will be there. It's going to be super fun and a great opportunity to see $millions in coins up close.

If you're going, let me know here or in DM and come say hello. Maybe we can make it a mini-reddit-meetup.

Note: I'm not affiliated with the show in any way other than as a table-holder. This is just an FYI!

Hello everyone! Today I have a fun and interesting mix of stuff - a bit 'o something for everyone, as the title implies (and a mystery coin to boot).

PROOF

Large-sized Notes

1917 $2 United States Note - Fr. 60 (Speelman-White) - $190 - A solid, no-issues, mid-VF example of this excellent design featuring a familiar portrait of Jefferson (that's still used on $2 bills to this day). Whether you're just getting into currency or need a good example of a large-sized $2 for your collection, this is perfect.

1907 $5 "Woodchopper" United States Note - Fr. 91 (Speelman-White) - $280 - Similar

Good day Reddit! On this fine Friday I'm sharing a super fun mix of certified US Type for your coin consumption consideration. On the menu today is something for everyone - whether your budget is $10 or $10000 :)

I really try to be more than fair in my pricing and, when available, include recent comps. If I buy the coin well, I'll pass along the good pricing when it comes time to sell.

I'll go in Red Book order because I am not a monster:

1917 Lincoln Cent - PCGS MS65RB - $150 - This is a beautiful, gem Lincoln with red-brown "woodgrain" coloration. It's a stunning coin with bold luster. Greysheet bid $135, PCG

Hello! Am very new to this world so please accept my apologies for misuse of terminology. Right now I'm just looking for pointers in the general direction of where I'm going (a project to look at, a research paper with sample code, etc.)

I have a large dataset of labeled images of "widgets". Which is to say: Each image has a number of known attributes (size, weight, color, model #) that I can specify in a metadata collection.

I would like to train a model on this dataset and then generate new images with different specific attributes which I can control / tune, along with some amount of randomness to make the new images novel. To use an example w/ faces, I would like to be able to

(...badly paraphrasing Henry Ford...)

Hello Reddit! I recently acquired a cache of 1921 High Relief Peace Dollars (the OG '21 Peaces ;) from a collector and it's time to find some new homes for them. I've photographed and cataloged them and I'm excited to share them with you on this lovely All Hallow's Eve!

Every one of these coins is wonderful and a bit different, so no matter your taste you'll find something you like. Whether it's AU or MS64, CAC or no CAC, blast white, crusty toned or satiny and smooth - there's choices oh so many choices (...except for the date. There are no choices on the date. They are all 1921. That's the deal here.)

This is a bit of a shot in the dark, but curious if there's anyone active here who I might have known back in the early 1990s when I was an obsessive and rambunctious YN in the NYC area :)

I honestly don't really remember any names off the top of my head, but I've recently gotten back into numismatics and would love to chat with other former-and-now-current coin nerds who I might have known when I was a kiddo.

I used to go to the Westchester County coin shows, the Parsippany shows, and basically any other show I could find and convince my parents to drive me to. I was also very active with the White Plains Coin Club.

I used to participate in all the YN programs (led by the late and great
