Hello again guys, you probably don't remember me since I posted about three stories around a year ago and then got lazy, but I really enjoyed my time posting here, so I'm hoping to post here more consistently now (and write more consistently of course!).

This is just something I whipped up on the fly to get the rust off, it is the start of an adventure story featuring the exact opposite of international art thieves: international art rescuers, those brave (and non-existing) souls who rescue lost artworks from the dungeons of oligarchs using wit, brawn, and lots of luck.

Now, some issues I'd like your comments on: Description: due to the tense nature of the scene I barely spent any time d

Got pretty lucky with the drops, and I thought it might be as good a time as any to give extended a try. So I've got a few questions:

Should I stick with the G-man, or convert to TSO (or even Zin)? If so, at what point?

Is my horrible stealth gonna be a problem in extended? Should I change my equipment

Any general order for getting runes in extended? I'm guessing Slime and Abyss are the next ones, what after that?

I know most people dabble in spells in extended, but for a minotaur in gold dragon armor that seems a bit far fetched, are evocations a good replacement? Can I hang with just melee?

I'm far from a pro player, this is only my fourth win overall, but it looks like the dam broke hard. Three factors made a big difference to my game: Putting off V:5 for as long as possible (seriously fuck that place).

Taking a break from NaTMs is the second...

And just generally knowing when to make use of consumables.

Regarding HaBe specifically, I can't say I'm a huge fan. It just takes too long to kill things if you're not loaded in slaying(took about twice as many turns as my TrFi win!).

The most danger I was ever in was from the cursed toes in Zot, which managed to get me close to death a couple of different times. And from a verry shallow dive into a zig

Just a heads up: there's very little dialogue in this text, and not much action, if it feels too slow for you, tell me!

The opening is a barrage of relatively thick paragraphs, if it reaches an eye-glazing level for you, let me know.

Outside of that, I'd like to know how you felt about the descriptions. I usually prefer giving vague descriptions, if any at all, but if it makes it hard for you to imagine the scenes or the characters, let me know.

I'm going for a simple, fairy tale type of story here.

I want to know if the conflict interests you, and if you'd like to see where it develops.

Would you generally be interested in reading a short story written in that style?

I'd also like to know if you think the story hits the right rhythm for a simple tale with a fantastic bent. If parts of it feel false, please let me know.

Outside of that, the normal technical stuff. I'm still very new to writing and I'd love your help in polishing my technique.

Thank you for reading!
