I'm interested in getting a large griddle for my grill, and was considering contracting a local fabricator to make one for me. Does anyone have suggestions for local shops that could do this?

One of the zones in my irrigation system is slowly leaking from the lowest head, essentially any time the irrigation shutoff valve is on.
So I
- bought a new Hunter PGV valve to replace the old one
- replaced everything except the actual piping so, the solenoid, diaphragm, top housing, etc are all brand new
- solenoid leads not even attached yet, so no electrical issue
- no debris that I can see in the bottom piping
- water not leaking into valve box so I'm guessing no cracked piping
When I turn the water back on at the shutoff valve, I can still hear water moving even with all valves off, and the same leaking head dribbles water.
What am I missing?
I find myself craving pad Thai, but I don't know if I should trust any of the imported tamarind concentrate from Amazon, even the stuff that is technically labeled gluten free. Does anyone have experience with any tamarind concentrate they would recommend?
Got some good recommendations for dentists, wanted to run it back for primary care doctors? Anyone have someone who they've been impressed with for primary care for adults? Bonus if it's biking distance from Addenbrooke/Belmar parks
Just moved to Lakewood from Denver so I'm going through the process of getting new medical providers. Ideally ones that are accepting new patients and are within biking distance of Addenbrooke/Belmar park. I'm young and relatively healthy. Anyone have providers they like?
I'm planning on making a king size bedframe. The question I have is about joining the side rails to the head/footboards.
At these joints, the side rail is a 13" tall piece of 3/4" plywood, and the footboard is a vertical 2x4.
I've seen a lot of people use something like these brackets https://www.rockler.com/5-surface-mounted-bed-rail-brackets
Which would be very easy to install.
However, I hate beds that creak when you shift around at night. Drives me nuts. I'm worried that using these brackets could result in that issue.
What I'm considering is cutting a 3/4x13" notch in the vertical 2x4 for vertical support, and then using some L brackets on the inside corner to provide horizontal su
I'm looking at a used car that seems to be in decent shape besides the fact that the paint looks like this. I don't care about the aesthetics whatsoever, nor the resale value. Beyond those things, could paint that's failing like this cause an issue?
If offered for the same price which would you choose, all else being equal? I'm guessing the 2016 is a better option, what with having more range even with less battery health. But maybe dropping below 10 is some sort of critical threshold?
We just ripped up the old nasty carpet in our basement. Underneath is a wood subfloor, then, as far as I can tell, bare concrete.
If we're installing LVP, should we rip out the subfloor first, and then lay down a vapor barrier? Or just go straight onto the old wooden subfloor?
FWIW, in another room in the basement there is LVP that seems to be in good shape. No cracks or squeaks when walking on it. We just bought this house though, so no knowledge of how long it's been in there, or what's under it
The previous owner of our house left an aluminum extension ladder. It looks like one of the rung locks does not fully wrap the runs. I'm thinking this was a jury rigged situation where he just added a part from another non compatible ladder.
I guess I just want confirmation that this is not safe to get on. I can't find any brand markings anywhere, any idea how I can get a replacement part for this? Or are rung locks close to universal?

We have this weird ~7ft gap in our kitchen that I assume used to be a breakfast nook.
I commissioned these professional renderings of what we might want to build. We're considering just extending the cabinets/countertops from the main counter to the little half wall on the right. And maybe adding a half-depth above counter cabinet to hide the electrical and coax outlets.
We'll obviously extend the vent to come out at the cabinet front, but the other weird thing here is that to maintain counter height, we'd need to cut off the window sill. Right now we're thinking we don't care about that, but maybe

Previous owners did some kitchen remodeling and the new stove and vent centerline is a bit to the left of previously existing duct.
They had cut some not-complete-strips of ducting for the awkward spaces and then foil taped over it. That came off so I need to fix it.
Would love to come up with a more permanent solution, including actually crimping and inserting complete ducting clear through from the hood exhaust to the duct in the ceiling, but that seems like it may be tricky with the awkward angles.
I can take that last elbow piece out where the foil tape is at about 11" on the measuring tape, obviousl
