I'm considering one of these switches, but I can't find information anywhere on their idle or typical power consumption. The datasheet quotes a "maximum" value of 99W and a value of 117W under line-rate traffic, but my network is not realistically going to load it all the way all the time. Does anyone know how much it uses closer to idle?

I got a cheap used TB16 dock to use with my laptop (an Acer TravelMate P214-53; it has a Thunderbolt 4 port). Despite people's reports of horrible firmware bugs, it actually seems to run all my USB devices and monitors without issues. However, it won't deliver any power to the laptop, even though the laptop specs say it can accept 60W of power delivery. I got the dock with a 130W power supply, which I thought might be the problem, but acquiring a 180W one didn't fix it either. I would try updating the firmware, but that apparently only works with weird driver versions on Windows 10 on Dell laptops, so it's probably not possible for me to unless someone knows how to extract the NVM firmware s

After updating my system yesterday I've found that all the applications I have installed which depend on qt5-base, including calibre, vlc, deepin-screenshot, multimc-git (from the AUR) and android-file-transfer, segfault on startup, with an error like fish: “calibre-debug -g” terminated by signal SIGSEGV (Address boundary error). According to pacman logs qt5-base was updated from 5.14.1-4 to 5.14.2-1, if this helps at all. I've looked at downgrading the relevant packages, but it appears that the only way to do that without having inconsistent package versions would be to use the archive to revert all my packages, which I'd like to avoid if possible as I recently had to clear the packag

I was trying to use the V͓̰͙ͯ͆ͯͧͧ͋̀O̷͍͙̫̓̋͑͌͜͡I̵̯̘͗̊̇̓ͣ̄ͪḌ̵̢͉̬̥͜͠͏͜ earlier this æon to break the minds of some puny mortals, but it just displayed a bright grue error message saying "The V̴̨̝̖̼̪͎̎ͣ͘O̷͚͚̩ͪ͊ͧͬͭ̏I͍̬̳̗̟̦ͦͯ̈̾D̜̭͎̬̲͒͗̃ͤ̓ is currently unavailable. Error code ڵϠɲණæஊಢࢷʩ-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. Please try again in -3 [UNTRANSLATABLE]". Is anyone else experiencing this problem, and is there anything I can do to access the power of the V͍̙͐̑ͩͬ̈́̒ͫ̄O̷̥̥̮͕͂ͩ̓̿ͯI̡͚̫̦̖͚͒ͤ̃͢D̠̞͈ͯ͆̈́̔̊̍͝ again?
