Hello!

I accepted a job 500 miles north of where I used to live. I start in January. I have never lived there, but I have visited. I don't have any friends there.

A few things:

  • I owe this company 10k because of a stupid error from a previous employer. I do not want to go into details because I want to remain anonymous. Just know that it is a thing. So, once I start, if I do not pay off the debt, my wages will be garnished. It'll take 2 months to repay it (roughly). Now, the thing is that the 10k I owe, I will get back. I know... it's beyond stupid.
  • I have less than $5k in the bank
  • My car and all of my stuff is in my previous city.
  • I have to go back every month to pick up my meds.

Hi, I need help on finding a city to live.

I posted a few months ago about losing my job and having to live back with parents and maybe moving to Buffalo if the first job didn't pan out. PS: I did move back in with my parents and the offer to Buffalo was still delayed. In hindsight, I'm glad I moved back home. Thank you to all that helped <3.

I'm not saying I have the job, but I'm much closer to getting the dream job. The problem is, Idk where to live.

I have the option of moving anywhere as long as the city as a local office. After 1 year, I can 100% telework. My salary will be at least 100k but it could vary up to 120k depending on where I go. I will need to buy furniture as I will be s

Single 30F no kids. Im moving from SoCal where I made 94k and lived with a roommate (gag). Looking for a 1BR in a safe neighborhood and a short commute downtown.

I have the option of living in LA county for 115k. I would live here but the housing situation is bad. The SJ apartments are nicer with amenities even if it is a little more expensive. Also, not sure how competitive the rental market is but its pretty bad in LA. I basically have to get an apartment the second I view it.

Other things to consider:
- Dating: Want to focus on dating
- I like outdoorsy stuff so mountains and shit

Let me know what you think, thanks!

I am thinking of moving for work from Long Beach and I can choose any location in CA. Sunnyvale because Ill be working with my supervisor or I can work in Camarillo.

I vacationed in Camarillo a few months ago and I liked it. Its quite and pretty. I didnt go over to Ventura.

Right now I want to focus on dating. Im 30F in tech (used to be in Navy but not at Oxnard) but I love the stereotypical laidback lifestyle. I like driving and am willing to go to LA.

Any thoughts are welcomed, thanks!

Ive posted before about my job situation. Basically, Im moving back home until I get word about a job.

Before my flight this Saturday, I wanted to take a week to mentally rest and use my marriot points for a staycation.

The day of, my car was broken into. The pos took my laptop bag. The problem is that I can’t locate when or exactly where. The police will not file a polity report because of this so Ive been begging the compnies to look at the security footage. Some need a police report for me to look at it. The one place I think it was stolen unfortunately doesnt have security footage.

However, i think I dropped my airtag in the bookbag and I located it to a nearby residence. I am going

Hi Diamond Dogs,

Recently I posted about a job interview for a dream job. I was verbally offered the job by the HM but HR pulled the offer back because now they don't think I am qualified for it. I don't think I'm going to get it. My best hope is a lower paying job with the same company. It'll be another 5 weeks until they make a selection.

I applied to another job on a whim. It's in Buffalo. I thought it would be remote but it's not. The pay is about $40-60k less than the other two. The others are remote. I have never been there. I have never been there. I would be moving alone, single 30sF. I've heard that its a pretty tight knit community.

I havent passed the background check but they

We need a FAQ. It seems people ask the same basic questions. I think it would be helpful to have something pinned so folks can check that out first.

I accepted a TJO and HR said that I would start as a xx-1. I asked if I can get back to a xx-5 because I was that previously but she said that it might not happen because it's a different series. I sent her the SF50 and its been a few weeks and she hasnt responded. I have 2 other offers that I want a lot more (2 grades higher) but the team has emailed me saying how excited they are even though I wasnt given it in writing. I guess technically I accepted. Is this weird?

I'm assuming this is the last episode but I hope everyone will engage with others. I'm saying this selfishly ofc because I'm going thru stuff and I know I'm going to need it lol but this is a good group of folks and I'd hate for it to die down because we aren't regularly inspired by TL.

I have 2 TJOs, I interviewed for another position last week. Agency 1 is the position I really want, Agency 2 is a distant second. I would take Agency 3 over Agency 2. The problem is that Agency 2 is closer along to hiring me than the other 2. I haven't even received the TJO from Agency 1 (actually from either). Also, housing is an issue. right now for me. I asked the HM to update me and she ignored my question until I called her. Last week I followed up via email to confirm if I would at least start in July as she stated unofficially the first time. I was "offered" the TJO late April.

I've been with many agencies before. Slow, but not this slow.
