Hi all! My party has recently completed the Amber Temple (and pretty much all of the map). Utilizing some inspiration from Mandy/Dragna, I made the the berserkers of X15 slightly more of a social encounter of a bunch of Forest Druids / Mountain Folk going through a Rite of Manhood (spend a week camped out at the Amber Temple), and added in a few dark-gifted berserkers throughout the Temple.

Through some good RP, dice rolls, and me just winging it, one of them blurted out there was a settlement nearby (because surely these berserkers came from somewhere), and so now the party has expressed interest in checking out said village.

Presumably, the party's goal is to rally them towards the

Is there ever any statement about what year the events of the campaign occur? The demiplane was sealed hundreds of years ago (easily more than 500?) but is there any lore, record, or note with an actual date on it?

- ~400 years ago was the Dusk Elf massacre, events of Argynvost, and probably Durst Manor-ish

- ~100+ years ago was when the Abott came onto the scene

- 10 years ago the valley was robbed of their precious champagne

Yester Hill and the Fane Stones are also described as pre-dating Strahd, and the Vistani that healed mortal Strahd also did so "centuries" ago rather than "thousands of years ago", so would it be reasonable to say Strahd's been The Devil for less than 900-ish

Traits: 50% Skull Reduction, All Construct allies start with 50% mana

Talent Trees: Stone, Arcane, Knowledge

Arcane also grants 20% spell damage reduction, Stone to provide Barrier on brown match, and then multiple mana gain options for the level 70 feature. Stone Tree is OP, and the synergy with some of the Guardian types is pretty welcome!

Nothing really strikes me as overtly OP; I'd put it at A rank tier (top 25%, but not top 3).

Anyone else have some theorycrafting on the matter?

The only thing worse than never dying is never living.

At this point, I'm expecting the Duane treatment :\

He won the popular vote, but he's a polarizing figure and he doesn't have feminine wiles which is all the rage these days

tl:dr - Have your units become friends by fighting 1000 times together before tackling hard content or being on the same PvP team. Once in battle, stay close to one to three of your friends.

What is affinity?

A bond of camaraderie that is gained by fighting alongside your teammates, that boosts unit performance when they are near each other. At max rank it provides a boost of +10% Agi, +15% Dex, and +10% Luck to units that are within 2 spaces of each other. It partially stacks, so units in a tight-knit formation leverage this the best, more than a scattered group of lone wolves -- but having at least one nearby ally is always a good idea.

Note -- these bonuses to Agi, D

Look at the ability icons (and job class)

Damaging abilities will have two icons in their description, and sometimes it's worth noting which job class they below to. The following only applies to skills which primarily deal damage. It does not apply to skills which primarily heal or deal status.

The first icon will tell you if it's a Physical skill or a Magical skill.

Physical (left), Magical (right)

Physical abilities use Attack as their primary stat, and factor in the caster's brave as part of the equation. The skill is checked against the

Top choice is always going to be 2000 for the rainbow fragment of thought. And towards the end of the month, probably saving a little so the next fragment can be bought ASAP. But after that, how're you spending/leaning?

Friend points - Chocobo Expeditions, Elemental Fragments+Prisms, Yellow/Red Class upgrade materials

Guild points - Barracks food, Statue Upgrade mats, Elemental Fragments+Prisms, Yellow/Red Class upgrade materials

Personally I'm going towards choco expeditions (friends) and class upgrade mats (guild).

Elemental awakening mats can be farmed during events cheaply enough. Chocobo tickets means esper level ups (with stray chance for awakening mats+shards) which

Personally, I'm at 4 for PvE and 3 for PvP.

PvE - Have a high quality squad, a squad full of lowbies for when I use my story skips, one designed for the 2-chain quests (thief (steal CT), time mage (haste), Mont+Murmur+Baelo for both slash and earth funsies), and one for when I'm auto farming (mix of high quality+lowbie, for any of JP/resonance/affinity/etc). 5th slot is freeform, like when the storyline quest calls for only Water units or somesuch.

PvP - An attack squad (contains unit for bonus), defense squad (since bonus unit is slightly weaker) and Match because tanks are silly there. Will sometimes accidentally leave up the Attack or Match teams but I tend to settle around #5000 a
