My first completed Oscillator module. It is a Voltage Controlled High-frequency, Audio-frequency, and Low-frequency Oscillator. The LFO has two frequency ranges. the audio oscillator is pretty basic. HFO goes up past hearing range for future frequency dividing purposes.

I modified the Hackaday 40106 oscillator. I used half the 40106 as square wave buffers and threw in a 4069 amplifier/buffer for for the triangle wave.

Switch-selectable LFO range: 0.71 Hz to 34 Hz or 0.38 Hz to 17 hz AFO range: 125 Hz to 6100 Hz HFO range: 1140 Hz to 58800 Hz

Hey folks-

I've been lurking here for a while and I have a lot of electronics experience, but little-to-none music background. I got here via LMNC then discovered Hackaday's Logic Noise series (https://hackaday.com/2015/02/04/logic-noise-sweet-sweet-oscillator-sounds/). How important is 1V/octave? How important is playing in tune?

I have breadboarded an atari punk console and a bunch of circuits from the Hackaday Logic noise series: 4 step sequencer (ran out of pots for 8), a T-filter drum, basic 40106 oscillators, 4046 VCO. I hacked together a integrator to smooth those square waves out, passive mixers, vactrols... I've been having lots of fun. Anyways... also now I want to start solde

Sorry if this is against sub rules, but is anyone in California selling Ferrocores? I need 3 that will fit my Quan manifold and I ordered some Russian knockoffs, but they won't be here until late March.

If this kind of post is against the rules I'll delete it, I'm just in a bind.

Edit: It looks like u/kamakiri is going to hook me up. Thanks everyone, I really appreciate this community.

Hello r/Subaru I just had my passenger side outside CV joint separate into many pieces. I now have a three wheel drive. The tow truck driver recommended getting green colored axles because they are heavy duty from a local shop. Online I read that Napa auto may be a good source, but to get remanufactured instead of new. I'm hoping you all would have some recommendations or could verify if green axles are better. Also I'm leaning towards not pulling what's left of the axle and driving 35 minutes to a lift I have access to, but doing the job in my driveway with a floor jack. I just dropped about $2.5k on a new head gasket and timing belt, so I'm a bit tapped out. I also need new shocks badly

To avoid posting N2 I am going to do B5 of the Climbing Bingo Square

I just survived toprope soloing for the second time, and I would like to submit to r/climbing (my setup)(http://imgur.com/a/vqYuI) for input.

Here is my rope setup I folded my 60m dynamic rope in half and started tying figure eight knots every 3 feet until the knot ladder was the same length as the two strands.

I use one single strand on a gri-gri with a steel locker to my belay loop and the other strand to back me up with a klemheist knot when on rappel only.

I use a C.A.M.P. daisy girth hitched to my harness, with two auto lockers on different daisy loops.

Donner pass road is closed this weekend, and we were hoping to hit up school house rock, but thats not an option anymore. Anyone know any alternatives with some super easy topropes with an easy approach, and some slightly harder stuff nearby? We are staying in Alpine Meadows for the weekend. Edit- they let us park at sugar bowl academy and the walk to school house rock was easy. Thanks for all the ideas!

Hey guys, I recently moved to Pacifica, and figured I'd take up surfing. I took a lesson, then snagged a craigslist 4/3 wetsuit, and a costco wavestorm. I've been getting tossed around the linda mar whitewater now for a few weeks.

I'm looking for a recommendation on booties for linda mar. is 3mm good enough for year round? or should I get 5mm?

If you see some jackass in a windsurfing wetsuit on a wavestorm falling in the whitewater at linda mar, likely on a monday morning that's me.

Hello, This is my first time posting to this sub.

My kid has enrolled in a preschool, and we have to move out of the area next month. The care provider had us sign a termination agreement back in January when we enrolled. When we read it, we thought that we had to pay first and last month's tuition up front, and should we have to leave before the school year was up, we would use the last month's tuition for the last pay period. We also understood that a month's notice was required, and payment was due for that month. We were under the impression that the last month's tuition was applicable to the notice period.

The provider has told us that this is not so. The provider wants May in full,
