What's yall's go-to butcher shop or grocery for good steaks these days? I used to go to piece of meat but it ain't dere no more. Uptown or mid city preferred, but I'm willing to drive a bit farther for the right stuff.

I came to the party a little late but I'm loving Dynasty mode, emphasizing recruitment and player development while simming through games. I had a thought today and wanted to check if I'm thinking about this wrongly. Note that I'm talking about manually progressing players here.
After watching players progress and eventually get drafted, it occurred to me that maybe I should NOT be progressing my deepest backup players, like the ones that should rarely see the field this season. That way, their overall rating stays low until we get through the draft phase. My reasoning is that it seems that higher (90+) players are far more likely to leave for the draft early and/or demand higher NIL to low
I was just listening to a youtuber describe the new boon coming in Arcana Unleashed, which apparently comes from preview copies already distributed. For reference, you pick a school of magic and you get:
- A level 1 spell from that school that you can always cast for free without using a spell slot.
- A level 7 or lower spell from that same school that you can cast for free once per day.
So over at Wargamer, they immediately pointed to Shield as being an obvious choice for probably any class. For only the cost of your reaction, you always have +5 armor basically.
But it got me thinking about Paladin. Of course Shield would be useful for Paladins too. But what about Divine Smite? It's
Maybe I'm just not a smart man. Maybe this is a bug. I dunno. I've been playing mostly dynasty and spending most of my time recruiting because that's what I enjoy. Also, I haven't played NCAA since 2014 so maybe this is a known thing to the rest of you - I'm mostly a PC player now. Anyway..
Early on, I noticed the Recruiting Battle mechanic when two schools more or less tie in their recruitment of a player. But after checking it out, my takeaway was that all you can do is sit back to see who wins while throwing everything you have at the recruit. By the time we get to this point, I am doing everything I can to get this recruit, including Hard Sell, DMing (50 hours total) and the best NIL sc
I am attending a small gathering this afternoon, like 10ish people, and I'm expected to bring something tasty to contribute. I ain't turning on my stove or oven today in order to respect my struggling air conditioner. I'm also not feeling particularly inspired so I'm hoping someone will give me a great idea of something I can either order on short notice or a place with great grab-and-go options. I know I could just drop into a grocery store, but I'm hoping for something a tad more elevated than that. This crew likes really good food. Don't really care about cost as long as it's not insane. It could be one single half pan of food or maybe a small platter or something like that. I used to gra
Anyone know a place that brings in Chicago-style giardiniera by the jar, specifically the Hot variety? I can only find the bland, nationally-sold jars so far. I would have gone to Nor-Joe but it ain't der no more.
Martial newbie here and I'm looking for clarification to make sure that my DM is interpreting things the right way. If he's wrong, please cite evidence for me or explain in enough detail that I can defend. He's cool about challenging his rulings, but it has to be backed up. My character - I think I've got everything that's relevant here (I hope):
- Genies Paladin, Dex-based, dual-wielding a scimitar and short sword. Level 13, so Extra Attack is in play.
- Weapons: Both weapons are light and finesse. A Scimitar +1 as main hand and a Sun Blade used as a short sword (basically... description is a bit confusing) as the offhand.
- Feats: I have only taken Defensive Dualist and origin MI:Wizar
Just a local looking for a recommendation so that we don't do the same old things we always do. By default, we'll go to Buffa's. But maybe someone can point me in a different direction to mix things up or hit up a new place. Details:
- When: We're attending an event after work around Esplanade and Burgundy, then looking to step out to a casual dinner somewhere after.
- Area: Walking distance would be nice so as not to have to move the car, but we're open to driving a bit for the right idea. We're not afraid of walking a decent distance either as long as the weather holds.
- Cuisine: Needs to be fairly casual and basic. One very picky eater will be us - think kid's menu type of requirement

Did anyone else find 60-80 to be WAY more difficult than the tiers before it and the tier after it? Just curious if I just had a lot of bad luck in that tier or what. I'm new to 80-100 but suddenly it feels like I'm back in 1-60 in terms of difficulty.
