The other day I was on Instagram and watched the Instagram story of a guy with cystic fibrosis, a genetic and terminal lung condition that causes your lungs to slowly die as you age. This guy ran through some of his medication, starting off with an enzyme to help him digest and absorb food. people with cystic fibrosis need to consume about 5000 calories a day and this enzyme is crucial for maintaining weight.

It costs him $2000 a month.

That was the least expensive of all the things he displayed. The least shocking.

The final medication he talked about, he picked up and showed simple a box of pills, one that looks just like any 24 pack of ibuprofen. The medication helps with lung funct

Dehumanising a group of people a means of disassociation and it's allowed mankind to justify some horrible things. It's a common tool in racism, referring to black people as monkeys, or Jews as subhuman animals, etc. It opens us up to justify or commit to disgusting behaviours that we can justify because they are not human. That we somehow matter more than them. When we refer to a fetus as if it's a parasite or a parasite like entity we're implying that it's doing something wrong just by simply existing. It should be aknowledged that it's not engaging in a malicious attempt to sabotage it's host's mother's life

A recent post on r/justiceserved about a 20 year old fending off 5 intruders (by fending off I mean he shot all of them with an ak 47 and killed 3) aside from the fact that most of the people on that sub are blinded by gun lust and can't see that the whole situation is suspect given his age, How prepared he was to shoot out of the blue, and given how much money they were probably expecting since 5 people thought it was worth the risk.

If he was completely innocent of doing anything. he still is responsible for killing 3 people. 3 people he apparently knew. If he had what they were looking for then he should have just given it to them. If you want to defend your home then get a stronger door
