That's pretty much the whole, admittedly very petty BEC. I do think it's maybe getting better, but holy fuck for a while there it was pretty much guaranteed that if someone posted a stitch ID request, the stitches would be upside down. Uhh yeah, I think I know why you're having a hard time figuring it out: if I was standing on my head I'd probably have trouble reading shit as well.

Yeah yeah, they're new, they don't know what they're looking at. Great, whatever, still annoys the piss outta me. And if they post with the disclaimer, "I'm an experienced crocheter but..."... Straight to fucking jail.

Hidey Ho, (U.S.) FG Neighbors - I randomly discovered the joy of Final Girl when, looking to spend a holiday gift card at Barnes & Noble, I saw the Core Box + Feature Film: Bad Times at Buddyland being sold as a set. I was immediately intrigued, Googled it, found out solo board games were even a freaking thing, and unwittingly awakened a minor obsession.

Of course at the time I didn't realize I didn't need and wouldn't use/care to have the miniatures that came along with the set, but now I know I'm a standard Meeple gal through and through. So, I'd like to send my minis off to someone who will paint them and enjoy them and love them like I never could.

If you'd like them, please lmk here:

I've yet to win. Lol. My last game may have been the worst. If my Terror cards weren't directly raising my Horror level every round, they were doing it indirectly by raising Bloodlust. I didn't have a single round where the Children DIDN'T successfully either abduct a Victim, or attack me; sometimes it happened more than once. I had two Ancient Curses, one of which let the Killer regain a ❤️ whenever they killed someone. On top of that, Hans' Dark Power was that he, guess what! regained a ❤️ when he killed someone lol. Then of course he regains health when you go past the top of the Bloodlust track, so YEAAAHHHHH.

There were multiple times I got to 3 dice but was never even able to t

I've played this setup twice and have yet to win; third game is ready to go when I get home from work.

Oh, Hans doesn't move with his Killer Action, you say? Fat load of good that does me when he's moving and killing with every single Terror card, and then the Children are running around offing everyone else because apparently all I can roll is 1's and 2's 😆 I'll get 3 dice for a short while but then the damn kids are successful at their abductions, Hans moves and gets another, and Horror goes up up up!

Third time's the charm? Maybe! Of course my starting event immediately raised Bloodlust by 2 so...we'll see lol.

After game 3 I'll probably put a pin in this combo and give A Demon in the

I've finally beat all the killers I have in their own locations (last and most recent was The Tormentor at Marrek and damn, was that fun! I really enjoyed the traps mechanic - it made things trickier and more tense). So now I'd like to try mixing up killers and locations! I'd love to know if there's any combinations y'all thought were particularly fun 😊

Here's what I have:

**Bad Times at Buddyland** (Billy the Bear + Buddyland)

**A Rotten Harvest** (Grimlash + Shady Acres)

**A Knock at the Door** (The Intruders + Wingard Cottage)

**Frightmare on Maple Lane** (Dr. Fright + Maple Lane)

**The Happy Trails Horror** (Hans + Camp Happy Trails)

**The Marrek Murd

Omg I am so ready to get my items from the Kickstarter, eeeeee! I ordered The Raptor Games and Shriek, and the Box of Props, and then of course the freebies we're getting (I've never played a vignette before!).

Since I started playing again a few days ago, I did Intruders/Wingard 3x (4th overall, finally won on my last game), and then Grimlash/Shady Acres (won my first game, though it was close). I currently have Billy/Buddyland set up to play when I get home from work (first feature I bought, have played 2x and no wins yet, though I'm hopeful for the next game now that I have more experience). Wish me luck!

What are you looking forward to getting if you pledged the Kickstarter??

Damn, Jessica, I don't know. Here's a wild thought: Try hook/needle A. Does that look however you want it to look? Cool, use hook/needle A. Oh, it doesn't look right? Try hook/needle B. Does that look however you want it to look? Cool, use hook/needle B. I hope you get the procedure now but just in case you don't, you'll try hook/needle C next if things aren't looking how you want them to look yet.

Not to mention that much of the time, if someone does suggest a specific hook/needle size, they'll come back to say, "oh yeah I tried that and I don't like it". 😐😑 Mmk well let's brainstorm what we could do about that then...

I'm sorry but what the fuck are you asking this for? It's one thing to ask about your trapezoidal mistake when you don't know how it's happening (even though it's incredibly easy to find out how since it's, like, the most common mistake and there are a million posts, articles, and videos about it), but it's crazy to me when someone knows what the cause is and they come to Reddit to ask if they're doing it. Uh, I don't know, are you?? I'm not aware of the stitch count you're supposed to have! How many did you start with? How many are you meant to have?? How many do you have now!? This should not be something you need outside assistance for, fuck!!

Yeah it's petty of me but I feel like

Does anyone know why they made the choice to do the two Fear Hall books in that new cover style, switch back to the original (best) style for Who Killed the Homecoming Queen? and Into the Dark, and then do the new style for the final two The Best Friend 2 and Trapped?

I hate how out of place the 4 different covers look. I need to commission someone to do a remake of those covers in the classic original style so I can paste them on top of the stupid covers lol.

It's also weird because from what I can see Bill Schmidt did the weird covers (not Fear Hall, but the other two), too - why switch up the style, Bill??

I saw something yesterday and it made me decide I needed to own and re-read all the Fear Street books. Do I remember what it was that made me decide this? No, no I do not. It's like when you're reading a Wikipedia article and it mentions one thing and you click the link to that article, and then from there you go to another article, and so on and so on until all of a sudden you're deep into reading about the different mating dances of jellyfish or something and you have no idea why 😆

Basically I blacked out and woke up the soon-to-be-owner of 50 books. Included in those are the Super Chillers (all of them), all of the Saga trilogy, most of Cheerleaders, and the first 99 Fear Street. So

That's pretty much the entire BEC. Because apparently "visual learner" means "I can't do anything unless there's a step-by-step video to follow along to, and I can't learn to read patterns because it's not like you use your eyes to read patterns, people!"

Every time I see "visual learner" I wish I had visual weapons like Cyclops from X-Men and could ::pew pew:: them with my eye lasers through the internet. "Visual learner" is code for, "excuse to sell myself short and convince myself that because something new is difficult at first, I will never and can never learn it."

...they ask, "what am I doing wrong??"

They get 10 answers explaining in detail what it is that they're doing wrong and how they can fix it and improve.

They get 1 answer saying, "Everything is subjective, there's no rules in crochet/knitting babe! It's a design choice 😘"

They profusely thank the one annoyingly positive person, ignore every other comment, and drop off the face of the Earth.

That's it. That's the BEC.
