Spent a few weeks playing. Compared to bf3 the killing dynamics seem less real. I stood there and unloaded what seemed like a full clip directly into a higher ranked player (corporal) for several seconds before he shot me dead with a pistol (not to the head). Also the run and gunners, seem to run by and kill people at will makes this game stupid. Now I never "buy" to level up my weapons (principal of the thing) but I don't think that matters.
Also, spawning so close to the enemy happens so frequently, I don't even have time to draw my weapon.
None of the "kids" I know of or family or friends play this game, which is sad. I'm beginning to wonder if this is game isn't any good. However I
Switched over from Xbox. I seem to be getting this blank screen with blinking bar in the upper right corner after a few rounds of bf4. Is this normal for playstayion/battlefirld4?
I'm an unemployed tech manager 45m, that is looking to get a start in iOS programming. That is like switching from managing a baseball team to looking for a job as one of the players. Now, its not that I can't do the job, which I can but the first interviews are usually phone interviews where the person asks technical questions about anything and my memory is shit.
Yesterday, on a phone interview for an entry level position at a company (I would love to work at), I was asked a lot of questions some of which I couldn't remember the exact answer although I had worked with it before. The end of the call left me depressed and sick because I knew my effort was not enough. It just destroys me tha
Hello. I'm wondering if its possible to start xcode source control in the middle of a project? I'm fairly new to iOS and when I started my project I was just messing around. I would like to place my project under source control but it doesn't seem like I can. Is there a back door method or do I have to create a new project and add all my files?
Oh, is xcode's source control any good or is there something better? It looks to be based on git which seems to be the industry standard.
Thanks!
Those that support both platforms, what do your programmers develop in? How do you handle versioning, etc. I'm looking for the least expensive and/or best way to do this. The programmers are all over geographically. Also, I would like it if programmers can only see the projects they work on.
Edit: also what platform Mac or windows? Edit again: Thanks to everyone that replied. I really appreciate the insight you provided.
Thanks!
I'm saddened reading a lot of the posts about problems we face or have gone through so I though I would lighten things up a bit. What can you do that others around you can't and what are you doing to exploit these "powers"? Brag as much as you want!
I'll start...
TL;DR : Fix anything in car or home, hyperfocused allows me to learn any new programming language, I can "see" and develop sound processes which involves people and technology, love to re-imagine apps/software for mobile.
I can pretty much fix anything. I can fix plumbing, electrical and any sort of mechanical problem with my house and my car. I've built landscaping retaining walls (straight as an arrow), poured concrete side wa
Hello. I'm looking for that post that contained an image with several exercises in it for beginners. The first exercise was 35 push ups, followed by some situps, etc... basic core stuff you can do at home. Does anyone have a link to it? I did try and do a search and went through several pages but didn't find it. Thanks!
I spent the last few days watching Portlandia after reading about this show somewhere on Reddit. What a crazy show. All the while I would say to myself, "...just one more episode." I haven't done anything since. Today however, I took out the trash. LOL. What a talented bunch of folks! I do have one question. In the skit about the book store for women, are they supposed to be two women or an effeminate man and a women? It's hard to tell. Go Portlandia Thinkers!!!!!

TL;DR : Forgive yourself/stop beating yourself up, make your lists and just do it! Oh and stop procrastinating or you'll get fired, make less money, lose your SO, house, car and die alone. Have a happy day!
I must be stupid or something but I don't understand this CocoaPods thing. I'm trying to get this https://github.com/Citrrus/BlurryModalSegue to run but it's giving me errors about CocoaPods, etc. I've installed CococaPods followed the steps but still can't make it run. Can anyone help me with a step by step using BlurryModalSegue as the example? You can start the instructions after the installation of cocoapods as I figured that part out. I am new to mac/xcode so please be specific with what I need to execute on the command line. Thanks a bunch and I really appreciate it.
I've downloaded and unzipped this project to Downloads on my computer. I just want to see/run the demo.
Im not sure I'm digging the dark brown that the amber harness turned into after applying the boot oil. Anyone ever cleaned them to get the original color back? If so, what did you use or do?
