After reading Lösch’s speech, stating that the command about blood doesn’t apply to your own blood, I have to wonder if statements about sex no longer apply to sex with yourself.

So is masturbation now ok since it’s only sex with yourself? Including using sex toys on yourself? Maybe it’s now ok to watch porn of others masturbating, since they’re not breaking a Bible command!

This opens up all kinds of new doors.

(Mostly intending this as satire, but the absurdity is palpable.)

From what I’ve heard from a relative, there was a meeting of all elders from all congregations within an hour or so of St. Louis, Missouri last weekend. Apparently the meeting was about a merger initiative, Hall sale, etc, but they were told to keep it confidential until it’s shared with the congregations.

If any PIMO elder on here happened to attend, I’m sure the community would be interested to hear what’s being planned.

If this isn’t allowed, please let me know. I’m happy to post elsewhere.

I have an in-person ticket, Advantage pass, and hotel reservation to Ignite that I won’t be able to use and I’d prefer to sell it and transfer it rather than canceling since the advantage pass is non-refundable.

Reply or PM me for details.

I’m looking at Amazon for siding mounts for a Battery Doorbell Plus, and every single siding mount I see is for 4” siding, or Dutch lap siding. I have 5” vinyl siding. Apparently I’m an outcast.

Has anybody found a siding mount for 5” vinyl siding?

I’m just overhearing the WT this morning, and the whole cong is commenting on how religion in general in the US is losing membership (a survey showing 70% to 48% in 20 years was quoted by one commenter). And how you can drive around and find churches which have closed everywhere.

Apparently they’re not great at looking in the mirror…

I created this post yesterday about a recent Zoom meeting my wife attended with the regional HLC, and explained that the HLC is continuing to tell JW nurses and doctors that they may not administer blood transfusions in their line of work, even though current, publicly-available written direction from the org still states that it IS permissible.

Rumor has been that HLC received a letter a few years ago with this new direction, but I haven't seen that letter anywhere. It was referenced on the Zoom meeting, though not provided visually or otherwise, but a helpful PIMO elder recently provided me this letter

tl;dr The HLC is still telling US nurses that they cannot administer blood transfusions.

Edit: text of the HLC letter is posted here.

A few years ago it was reported that medical professionals were no longer allowed to administer blood transfusions, and that this info was provided directly to these professionals, not through any official channels in the org.

I can confirm that this is still the case.

My wife, who’s PIMI, became a nurse (RN in the U.S.) a few years ago and was not told this was the case. She continued to follow the latest written direction from the org, which is that a JW would
