I have a 5060 Ti 16GB on my PC right now and I've been getting the itch to buy another 16GB GPU to be able to run higher parameter models (e.g. Qwen3.8-27B) at a decent token speed.

Where I live, both the 5060 Ti and 9070 XT are sold at around ₱60,000 (around 950 USD when converted) due to the recent price hikes.

I think the simple answer is to get another 5060 Ti because Nvidia is king when it comes AI workloads. But I also play games on my PC from time to time so the stronger AMD card is quite appealing.

If I decide to get the AMD card what issues can I expect from a mixed Nvidia + AMD setup? Do you think it's worth getting the Nvidia card to avoid these issues?

Right now, I'm building an app that includes location tracking. With the help of Cedric van Putten's Office Marathon, I've been able to get it working pretty well.

Now I'm trying to figure out how to let users stop the location tracking service without having to bring the app into foreground. The idea I have in mind is something similar to the Exit button in Termux's foreground service notification. I would like to let users disable the location tracking through the same button.

On Sway, you can run swaymsg "output * dpms off" and it will turn off the screen via DPMS. I've checked the three manuals (river, riverctl, rivertile), but it does not look like there is an equivalent command for this.

Is this supported? If not, how do you turn off your laptop screen?

It doesn't seem to be working with my config.

[global]
	map to guest = Bad User
	guest account = mynormaluser
	dos charset = cp932
	load printers = no

[Jellyfin]
	guest ok = yes
	writable = yes
	path = /srv/shares/jellyfin

[Nextcloud]
	guest ok = yes
	writable = yes
	path = /srv/shares/nextcloud

[Torrents]
	guest ok = yes
	writable = yes
	path = /srv/shares/torrents

Mounting with mount.cifs seems find though.
