Had my Hisense 75U8QG for a day. I am sure I am just dumb cause I have had my QD6 for 2 years and eventually figured things out, but the following are driving me mad!

  1. "Hey Google" is turned on and I like being able to ask the TV for the weather without the remote, but last night while going to bed I told my wife I was going to sleep and the TV without any input lowed the volume as if it was some Gemini function. Gemini popped up on the screen. Is there way to limit Gemini, but keep the "Hey Google" active?

  2. I have it on the most aggressive eco setting for power on/off. This morning the TV when I walked into the room turned itself on for an update. Which is in line with its power se

Got the email that we are switching to ATT. In Omaha area on Qwest backbone with 100/100 service at $49.99 for life. I have a slightly older router and some of my neighbors on 1000/1000 are being switched to Quantum but billed through Centurylink.

I am exploring if I should generate some event that will get me a new router/equipment through "ATT Quantum" but also get me into a 1000/1000 $45 a month service. Or even the 500/500 service. I can only be down internet a few days max as I work from home part time.

What would be the best way to go about this? Or if I shouldn't I am open to that as well.

Due to age of roof (13 yrs old) Foremost is one the only brokers that will insure me at a decent rate. However since I shop it every year I have found that the policy I have now with Foremost being an HO-3 my current broker does not want to switch me to DP3 and is shying away from anyone competing for that business.

I am finding a DP3 policy for marginally cheaper. We are talking about 150-200 annually. IE $2700 vs $2900.

Foremost is telling me new guidelines for my state disallows them from writing any more HO policies for my state as of Aug 2025. This coming from one of the foremost underwriters of the broker that wants me to switch to them for the DP3.

The broker who wants to sell

Basically in the app dashboard I see the Pixel 9 deal, but I am on an annual plan that expires next month. The annual plan is the lightspeed 10 gb. I am happy with the speed as I do not stream much on 5g or anything. If I get the pixel 9 will it renew my plan or am I even eligible? I want to keep the 15 a month annual plan. Thanks.

I posted the below to Home Networking but I believe I figured out the issue is that on Asus routers or at least the older one I am using if there is not a "Centurylink" configuration on the VLAN tagging then it defaults to only 2 ports on the router being active for internet.

Does anyone have a newer ASUS router or can tell me if there is a better router out there that not only supports PPPOE (all should) with a IPTV/VLAN configuration on all 4 ports that will work with Centurylink?

I am paying for 100/100 right now but looking to go to 1000/1000.

To preface I had a 2009 Ford Fusion with 225/45/R18 and I had Eagle RS-A from OEM that went till the side walls cracked at just under 60k miles and 6 years. I put on Falken GS2 or 3 tires and sold the car 10k miles later. Rotations due 6 months or 7500k

Enter my 2016 Ford Fusion. From factory it came with Goodyear Eagles LS2s that burnt up at 31k with a sidewall nail. They almost killed me so many times in light snow I was happy to replace them. Rotations done 5k or 6 months

I put back on Falken GS4 which are a clone of the Sumitomo like HTR-110 back in 2019. The Sumitomos were rated for 45k, but mine were 65k V speed. They went 35k before the center had some wear and the total tread was a

Running a TM-AC1900 converted to RT-68U on Merlin. Its trusty but getting old in the boot. Biggest issue I have is just random drops on the 2.4 ghz band with only Apple Devices.

I would like to upgrade and have talked to the guy who runs Merlin about VLAN tagging on all ports and it appears with Centurylink I need to tag all ports with VLAN 201 in order to get internet on all of them. The problem with Merlin/Asus firmware at least on the RT68U is that only 2 ports can be tagged as a hardware restriction by Asus.

Does anyone know if this is still the case? I need at least 3 of the 4 ports to support internet through VLAN tagging. Does anyone have recommendations for around the 60-$120 rang

Yes I have looked at all the threads, but with the Tera Pokémon on the bench is there actually an attack that targets the bench that isn't an "effect of an attack"? For example https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Greninja_ex_(Twilight_Masquerade_106)

Greninja Ex from TM the attack that says do 120 to 2 opponents Pokemon. Isn't this an "effect of an attack" and can actually damage a Tera or is there a bench attack that isn't an "effect of an attack" in game? Thanks.

I lived in Manhattan KS for a couple years back in the 2010s when they increased city tax rate to something above 7 percent. I paid state income taxes then, but rented. Worked with a lot of people who are from Wichita. So now residing in Omaha NE I thought what the hell would visit for spring break. Noticed the following:
-No Restaurant tax - paying an avg of 6ish percent vs 10-11 percent in Omaha
-No Parking fees really anywhere - Omaha is 1.50 per hour at least depending on day
-Same or similar tourism tax on Hotels to Nebraska/Omaha

So question is where are you guys "taxed"? I know it seems like a dumb question but figured someone would give me more an example than "everywhere".

I have a Walmart Onn (https://www.walmart.com/ip/onn-Google-TV-4K-Streaming-Box-New-2023-4K-UHD-resolution/2835618394) GoogleTV/ChromeCast and for the life of me I can not figure out why Peacock does not work. A 2023 device that is pushing a 4 core processor with plenty of memory has worked flawless since this summer when I got it. I avg over 100 mbps.

I have tried making the sound format and picture format manual and I can not disable Bluetooth completely if I want my remote to work, but every single time I launch Peacock and try to play something on an Ad Supported plan it will load, then s

If you get a flat tire in the Hybrid AWD - Battery type system is the solution like every other car to replace all 4 tires or shave down that one new tire? Or does the battery type system in each wheel cause no damage if the tire tread is not all consistent at all 4 wheels? thanks.

I have an old receiver that can't do the HDMI video switching and although I need another new TV I am trying to make my Series X and PS5 work on 4K, but I do not think it is possible. Using cables rated for HDMI 2.0 or 18gb up to 4k60 on ports 2 and 5.

Review of this here: https://www.cnet.com/reviews/vizio-m65-c1-review/

On port 5 which is a 4k/60 port everything Xbox and PS5 displays fine and tells me it will do 4k/60 your TV supports 4K blah blah blah.

I figured Ports 1 and 2 could support HDCP 2.0 and could try to display 4k/30. Meaning I would suffer through 1080p at menus but the games would allow the signal to be "4k/30". However

Rear Cross Traffic (BLIS) vs Parking Sensors

Q&A: Features / Pickup Ability / Trims

I have parking sensors on my Fusion with no RCTA. I find that the parking sensors do a really good job with backing up and such and if a car is speed past or something when I backing up it usually catches this.

I have never drove a car with RCTA and I am wondering on the Mav if I get the BLIS package without the rear sensors (XLT) but with RCTA how much of it would be like the parking sensors on my Fusion? Thanks.
