I laid myself down in all the wild and all the depth of seclusion, so I could forget the taste of the steel nipple that had been forced between my lips. The mild grass under my back gave way to pastel lilies that pierced my body-- moving around my organs, covering me in a soft and comfortable temperature. I half forced a smile and hummed a traditional melody.
I dreamt of being crushed by a room of pink Roman roses. Maniacal Heliogabalus's laughter carried in the cool shade. I rolled over against the weight pressing down on me. Six red petals, still wet, stuck to my face.
Sometime in the night, a peony burst through my stomach. When I awoke, my leg shook momentarily.
My God, it was beautif

Just in case you didn't think voting was cool enough already.
youtubedoubler.com/?video1=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.y...My old laptop busted a couple weeks ago. I was told it was the motherboard (and I had heard of a few years of Dells that had shitty motherboards) and bought a new one instead of ponying up the cash to fix it (which would have only been about a hundred bucks less).
It's three years old and has a cracked chassis by the left hinge that requires quite a bit of tape to hold it together. It doesn't turn on and I'm not quite sure what to do with it.
Are there places where I can part it out and either sell it or donate it? It seems like there must be something better than throwing it away.
Thanks,
Sam
For some reason, I feel like making my own infused liqueurs over the next little while and have looked up a few recipes that I am interested in.
Unfortunately, I am more of a whiskey guy, and don't know a damn thing about which vodkas are any good.
I am on a student's budget, so I don't want to break the bank. However, I would like it to have little impact on the flavour (so, Russian Prince is out [I may not know which ones are any good, but I know which ones are real bad]).
Does anyone have any experience or knowledge with this? Which do you find works best?
Thanks,
Sam
In all honesty, I haven't put a tonne of time into this. I would like to finish my undergraduate degree, at the very least, before I leave (two and a half more years). But for some reason I can't get either of these countries out of my head.
These two countries fill out pretty much all of my criteria for a country I want to live in. They are close to other countries I am interested in, making travel very convenient. They both have amazing histories and architecture that reflects it. The both have that lovely Mediterranean climate. And somewhat embarrassingly, they both speak a lot of English. I am cursed with the inability to learn other languages. I would feel like too much of an asshole j
I would love to look all of this up myself, but time is of the essence, and I just can't pull it off.
But if anyone knows which bible would have been the most popular would have been the most popular in England during the last half of the 1500s and how many times Jesus is referred to as a "prince" in it, it would be extremely helpful.
Thank you,
Sam
I am terrible at German. Absolutely awful. I'm generally pretty smart, but I just cannot hack it with languages that aren't English (and this one is proving to be my worst endeavor yet). We had an in class writing assignment today and I knew I wouldn't be able to write two hundred words of anything worth a damn. We got to know what the topic was going to be along the lines of a week before, but there was still no way I could pull it off.
But there was one ace in the hole. We got to bring in a sheet with up to fifteen words on it to help us.
Where I lack in the ability to process languages, I make up for in being a smartass. On a piece of paper, I wrote in my terrible chicken-scratch (this
Full disclosure: I am a Canadian who has never been subjected to one.
I posted in another thread that I would rather have every TSA agent in the world see my penis than let another terrorist attack take place. I don't think I'm pro-totalitarian, but I believe that the security is worth it.
My only qualm with them is if they will actually be successful in providing security. If they aren't effective, get them out of there.
It's become a pretty big deal on Reddit lately, but I guess I just don't get it.
Sorry if this is a RTFM question, but I am a major computer illiterate and can't even understand the manual (and I don't even know where that is either).
I'm at school and they are back home, twelve hours away. I'm not exactly sure where they were when I left and then on top of that, my family is moving, so God knows where they are.
But do I really need those ones? Or will any serial numbers do?
Thanks, Sam
I've been feeling the need to jazz up my cocktails lately (really, they aren't even cocktails without bitters). This is the one time it is unfortunate to live in Canada (save for winter) as I can't seem to find it anywhere.
Does anyone know where I could pick some up in the city? If not, where I could order some from that will deliver to Canada?
Thanks,
Sam
I can't get over how good this season was. I have liked Mad Men since I started watching it a few years ago. But this season was something else.
Anyone have any moments that stick out to you? Or any disagreeing opinions?
