What's up with KXAN? This makes two nights in a row they cut their signal just before Late Night with Seth Meyers starts. I didn't see any notice and can't find anything mentioning outages on their website or Twitter. I know he's very anti-Trump - surely we're not starting to see censorship.

I pulled up at home this afternoon and what I first thought was a squirrel with dark, almost blackish fur ran up on the rail ties by the driveway and stopped, staring at me. I could really only see the head and shoulders but never had any thought other than "odd-colored squirrel". I began to wonder if he was friendly as he had run up and seemed fixated on me. I started to get out of the car and he immediately ran across the street, as though he was used humans and to being chased. Then I noticed it didn't appear to have a tail. All the talk of alcohol and coffee reminded me that I had the good fortune to be taught how to make Irish Coffee by an Irish woman many years ago, so I thought I would share:

Boiling water

To preheat the mugs/cups.

Sugar

+/- one rounded teaspoon per mug or cup. If you're making this for a group, fix one first for yourself and see what amount of sugar works best for the coffee and the size container you are using.

Good strong coffee

I would love to see suggestions for what beans might most complement the other flavors. I've always just used whatever I had at the time. Ensure the coffee is as hot as possible without injuring the flavors.
