Hidden away in page 53 of the Autumn budget -

The planned 23 per cent increase in the fuel duty rate in late-March 2023, which adds £5.7 billon to receipts next year. This would be a record cash increase, and the first time any Government has raised fuel duty rates in cash terms since 1 January 2011. It is expected to raise the price of petrol and diesel by around 12 pence a litre.

Expect a big impact here considering how reliant people are on private transport.

Hey,

I done a quick search and I did not find anything similar to answer my question. Basically I am applying for an Irish passport from the North using the APS2E form.

Everything is all ok on the application apart from 1 question I have regarding the PPSN number (I presume this is the same thing as the National Insurance number we have up here ?). I dont see anything to answer this on the help sheet which came along with the form I got at the post office.

Do I just leave this PPSN bit blank on the application as I do not have one, or put in my National Insurance number, or is there anything else I must do? I just want to make sure before I go back to the post office.

Thanks to anyone

Hi,

Considering going on a spur of the moment day trip to the Geneva Car show this weekend. Are the airport and Palexpo connected? I intend to fly out first thing Saturday morning, and return on a 8pm flight.

Any directions/help/advice is appreciated!
