For those who don't know, a pretty common scam on craigslist is to sell a used Apple iOS device, and hope that the purchaser doesn't know that if the device has been connected to an apple account with "Find my Phone" enabled it can be remote locked/wiped days or weeks later and be held ransom until you pay more or they don't unlock it ever.

Well, I didn't realize Microsoft had added a similar sounding feature in Windows 10. So now I'm kind of freaking out here... I've fully reinstalled Windows 10 from my own USB image and made my own admin account and activated Windows using my own key. "Find my device" says its off, but is it possible for the previous owner to still track or lock it anyw

As I understand it, the replacement "soft" springs you can get from VKB site are already the stock option in the mk2. I would like to go even softer. Are there any options for that?

I just bought this and it arrived today. Overall I really like it but when pulling down on the stick and letting it recenter, it ends up being off by up to 2000. If center is 32767, it sometimes doesn't settle right and will be reporting around 34500 or so. Is this normal, or should I return it?

Also... I bought my G mkii from Xplane.org's Amazon storefront. Does the 2 year warranty still apply/how would I go about getting warranty service?

I am looking to do a new VR PC build, but many games I want to play are single-core bound and I am looking to maximize performance in these, even at the expense of other multi-threaded uses. I've read the Ryzen series has a pretty limited ceiling for OC on all cores, but is it possible to extend that ceiling by disabling say, half the cores of a 3700X? If anyone has tried this, what were your results?

This is ridiculous! Games look god awful in 60hz mode because of the subsampling being applied. Either make it 2 separate options, or just remove the downsample and let it render at native res!

How many times do we have to ask for this?

EDIT: It only affects post-1809 Win10 builds. Also, I have found some cases where steamvr is able to override the subsampling. The best way to test is to look around cliff house after switching and see if the aliasing is worse. Its probably only really noticable on Reverb and maybe Ody+.

Some example lines. I drew the left set with the same pen, on my old SP3. But on the SP7 they are very wavy. I've also noticed this waviness when using finger input and moving windows diagonally. Vertical and horizontal are pretty smooth, as I approach 45 degrees it gets progressively worse.

This is the type of pen I'm using, if it matters: https://i.imgur.com/dmPoFYy.jpg

Is my SP7 defective? Should I return it?

Edit: Picked up the newest pen model, wavy lines are basically enirely gone.

Hi! I feel there are certain game types that would really work well with a touchscreen. Mainly turn-based strategy games and "Grand Strategy" games like Stellaris, Europa Universalis IV, etc.

Unfortunately most Direct X games don't quite work with a touchscreen. It will detect the first tap and move the cursor, but won't actually activate a click. Then if you tap somewhere else, it will activate the click in the previous position from the first tap. Needless to say this makes it really hard to interact with UIs as you accidentally click things you don't want to. This happens regardless of fullscreen or windowed mode.

Is there any way to tell windows to just send a normal mouse move+c

I am a casual player. I had a problem with HD thats still present in DE: I can't find any AI setting that provides a good, but fair challenge for my skill level.

I can stomp 3 Standard AIs with ease. But if I try to fight even a single Moderate AI, I get outpaced dramatically.

Is there any way to get a better game experience against AI? Can I tweak Moderate to have a lower APM or something? Its almost like Standard AI just gives up making things after a certain time in the game.

Let me put a little disclaimer: For personal reasons, the chances of me significantly improving enough to beat Moderate AI is very slim.

I'm new to smite, but generally understand the genre. Looking for some NA players (preferably who play in the evenings) to group up with. Message/comment. If we get enough interest we can set up a Discord server and play!

Should probably mention I'm not really interested in arena games. Joust or conquest is fine.
