Just deleted my game in the middle of the event.

Working to get past the second barrier in the third mine. About a four-hour timer on it to start. I had spent 650 gems to get into 1st place early and stayed there pretty much the whole time.

With 90 minutes to go on the wall, I dropped into 2nd, 200-ish crowns back. A few minutes later, dropped into 3rd, 34 crowns behind 2nd.

So I moved my miners to a crown node. Six minutes, cracked it, back into 2nd place.

In that six minutes, I went down to 8,500 crowns behind 1st.

Spent a 1h time jump. Killed the wall, hit the easy rocks and went for the next mine. About 40 minutes.

And almost 19,000 crowns behind 1st.

Since we already credibly pro

Ten years ago, I sold Settlers of Catan in my store for $37.99 Canadian on a wholesale price of $21 CAD. I quit doing game retail about eight years ago in order to raise my kids.

Today, Catan is $55 CAD online and right around $80 CAD in B&M. I see that it hovers at around $48 US online and $60 US in-store. More than double my price in a mere ten years.

Anyone with a shop in Canada or the US able to tell me what their cost is on Catan from distro?

Bought it, love it.

If God is at the bottom of the Well, why do the Bastionites not simply throw the dead into its depths?

I get that ancestor veneration is probably why they don't simply dissolve dead bodies with runes, but surely sending their body to God is about as respectful as one could be?

I touched on something related in a question on the KS itself: why don't people jump into the Well themselves? Why did a society based on scarcity not evolve a custom of their elders jumping into the Well as they become infirm?

These aren't criticisms; I think they're interesting worldbuilding questions that have interesting answers. I don't know what those answers are, though. ;)

Hey, folks. So I auditioned in Vancouver in February. The local network just did a story about one of the successful candidates, who will be going to L.A. next month to be on the show.

My question: do they call all of the successful auditioners right around the same time? It looked like most of the Toronto players appeared in a cluster.

I guess the nub of my question is: do I yet have hope? Or am I most likely an unsuccessful candidate?

A new cheesemaker just opened in my town and there's every indication that they know what they're doing. I thought that I was a bit of a cheese nut, too. My wife bought me half of an aged provolone, and it is ridiculously bitter. Like, the stuff you put on kids' fingernails to stop them from biting their nails? Like that, but even moreso.

Is it just something that's not to my taste? Or is there something actually wrong with the cheese?

I have nightmares that I ace the audition, get called to go to LA, and on my once-in-a-lifetime shot the categories are something like this:

African Soccer Stadiums

Operas Based on French Novels

US Counties in Three or More States

Mushroom Soup Recipes

Box Office Hits of Nepal

Street Names of Mobile, Alabama

And for Double Jeopardy:

Straight Tennis Champions

Universities Named After Supreme Court Justices

NCAA Anything, You Loser

Synaesthesia (Alex: "We'll tell you the color, and you identify the smell.")

Comic Books...No, We're Kidding, It's Power Mechanics

Runners-Up for State Birds and Flowers

And Final Jeopardy is like "Lesser-Known American Civil War Tombstones."

So...my sister hates Pokemon Go. She's a personal trainer, among other jobs. She claims that there's no way that a game like this can drive any kind of physical fitness.

I know that I've lost weight and improved my cardio -- pushing a stroller with two kids in it for an hour and a half is a workout.

If you don't mind, please post how many km you've logged in the game and if you've noticed any kind of improved personal fitness (weight loss, walking speed, easier breathing, better sleep, etc.).

Real, honest distance logs, please. If you're driving slow or otherwise cheating, that's not useful. ;)

Thanks!

This is a PREDICTION. This is NOT an announcement of a price increase.

Here's my prediction: M15 booster packs will have an MSRP of $4.49, to be announced on or about June 18th, one month before the release of M15. This will be the new MSRP for MtG boosters.

It has been just about seven and a half years since the last increase in the manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) on regular-release booster packs. This the longest interval between booster pack price increases in MtG's history.

In September 2006, the MSRP of booster packs increased from $3.69 to $3.99. A price increase with M15 would be nearly eight years since the previous increase. Previous price increases have occured much

In the spirit of Christmas, I wanted to give back to my players. I own a small FLGS in a small town, but we have a disproportionately large player base, many of whom band together to go to major events like PTQs and GPs out of town. In a town of 18,000 we get as many as 60 people to pre-releases and Magic Celebration, and up to 35 to FNM, although typically about 20.

We had 19 people show up last night, all of whom are regulars. I waived our usual $5 entry, and started out giving gifts -- packs of cards, boxes of Dragon Sleeves, playmats, etc.

I advised everyone that I would be giving away a FTV20 as an extra door prize; after round 4, I rolled a d20 in view of the players -- 10th place wo
