• Reasons for Braun's cut include injuries, huge salary, and influx of new toys (Aziz, Omos, Shanky).

...if you remember when Strowman came, Big Show was obsolete. They put him in there with Strowman to get him over and had some great matches. The problem is, Omos isn't as good as Strowman, and Strowman isn't as good as Big Show.

They expressed to me that Strowman was "two years past his peak with a huge salary"

• Strowman vs Omos was avoided because it would suck

Dave talked about Jay White's contract status on today's WOR. While Dave hasn't talked to Jay directly, he knows AEW pursued him in late 2018. Jay's response to AEW was that he just signed a 7 year contract.

Meltzer: "I don't know if that's true, but it's what he said. If his contract is up, every promotion should want that guy."

AEW also tried to sign Cobb but his mind was already made up. Based on their personal text exchange, Dave feels Cobbs decision way based more on happiness than money.
