Hi y’all! I took my first dose of tremfya 2 Sundays ago and didn’t feel any sort of “reaction” all last week which I thought was kind of odd. This last Sunday (exactly one week later) out of nowhere, I felt like I got hit by a bus. I figured I was just getting sick but the strangest thing is all the symptoms disappeared the next day. I’m wondering if my reaction was just delayed by a week? Has that happened to anyone else? The good news is I’ve gone from 5 down to 1 BMs a day so I think the tremfya is already starting to work!

34m. Ulcerative colitis resistant to treatment and currently on dual therapy (rinvoq + tremfya). My mom died of pancreatic adenocarcinoma at the age of 54. Also on my dad’s side my grandma and some great grandparents who died of it. My gastro told me she’d like to see me start getting screened at 44 (10 years before the age my mom was diagnosed) but that was before my UC progressed. I know that IBD has recently been found to be a risk factor for pancreatic cancer, and of course being immunosuppressed on a huge level is another factor.

Should there be any change to when I start getting screened? Or should I still wait until 44?

I have had incidents of food/pills getting lodged in my throat since I was 16 (33 now). It only happened maybe once or twice a year so I mostly ignored it but I finally got a scope done and they found a 6mm stricture in my upper esophagus. Started dilation sessions and biopsies from the initial and follow up sessions showed no evidence of EOE but the latest one showed 40 cells/hpf in my proximal esophagus indicating I have this condition.

My question is, now that my throat is dilated to 15mm, I’ve had no food impaction events or other symptoms. How am I supposed to go through the 6fed diet and figure out which ingredient is causing my inflammation? I cannot afford the out of pocket expenses

Hi y’all,

We are currently *so close* to being finished with our remodel which started in February. We ordered custom painted cabinets through Homecrest and one of the cabinets came damaged, along with the upper trim being the wrong size.

Our kitchen designer placed a warranty order (February) and it took 6 weeks to get the new cabinet and trim. Mind you, everything else is done. Our contractor installed the replacement cabinet yesterday and we discovered a huge crack on the bottom of it. Today, he took the replacement trim pieces out of the packaging and found them extremely bowed/warped to the point where he can’t use them.

I’m at a loss of what we should do. Should we do file warra

We just finished our kitchen remodel and noticed our new Delta faucet is causing a really bad water hammer when shut off on both the cold and hot sides. We called the plumber back out to take a look and he told me it was most likely due to our under sink RO system and that hammer arresters on the hot/cold pipes would solve the problem. He told me he would charge for it but it was easy to do myself so I grabbed 2 AA 3/8” arresters from Lowe’s and put them on the hot and cold water lines right where the faucet attaches. This has not given us a significant change in the water hammer. What else could be the issue, and what else could I do to remedy this? Thanks!!

Question about tile spacing

Homeowner - Advice about my Contractor

Hi y’all!

My contractor is starting to install our kitchen backsplash. He wanted to butt the tiles against each other to minimize grout lines but I hesitated and asked if he would space them by 1/16”. He seemed kind of annoyed about that. I guess I’m just wondering if his way would’ve been correct, or if some spacing is needed for expansion/contraction? He said that was not necessary. Thoughts?
