Recently there's been a quick video going around social media (I saw it linked from the History Channel Facebook - so obviously dubious source already) about how women who were accused of witchcraft were often alewives, or the women whose job it was to brew beer.

It said that iconography like the cat, pointed hat, and even the broom were things used by alewives. The cat to keep mice out of the grain, the hat so they would be seen in market, the room above the door to show they had beer for sale. The video says that when men picked up interest in brewing they started accusing alewives of witchcraft.

I can say while I know a bit about beer history and styles, I don't know a ton about alewi

I just found out Disney made Canada Day buttons for Canada's 150th - they're just like the celebration/birthday buttons, but I wanted to know if anyone knows if they are still available?
