I went to take some pants I'd purchased from Nordstrom.com on sale to get them hemmed, and the tailor insisted that sale items are not eligible for the free basic alteration benefit. I called around to multiple customer service numbers, including the Nordy Club/Nordstrom Card line. Every single person gave me a runaround and changed their story about free and what it meant and how free works as I asked.

Please help me with my first real HT setup! I've been doing some reading and research, but picking between spending on a sub vs slightly better L/C/R has me unsure.
Budget: Right around $1k--I could spend more, but my husband will balk at it. My strategy is to go with a budget setup and agree in the future on components that are underperforming to both our ears.
Current setup: LG C8 OLED 65" TV with audio through a 5.1ch Vizio Soundbar (SB3851). Consoles galore: XB1; PS4 Pro; Switch. Might use my gaming PC with the TV, too.
Current gripes: My soundbar doesn't have enough inputs to run all the consoles (for either HDMI or Optical), and this TV is known to introduce audio lag
I just swapped one of my exterior doors for a Yale YRD246 w/ IM1 (Homekit) module, and I'm loving the thing. I don't have to carry a key, and it looks super sleek. I'd really like to swap my other exterior door for the same lock, but I'm wondering if this is a *really* bad idea, since I won't have another way to get into the house if both locks jam. (I can scrounge up a 9V battery if they both die at the same time, so they would both have to actually jam.)
OTOH, I guess I could just deal with having an ugly lock and go with the YRD226 for the second door...
Has anyone gone the totally keyless route? Am I worrying unnecessarily? (Would you risk it?)
