I have two mountain bikes, one with tektro brakes, one with shimano. I want to swap the calipers/discs/levers from one bike to the other. Theres a pretty big difference in hose length between the two bikes. Do I need to get new hoses and fittings or can I leave the hoses on the bikes and swap the aforementioned components?
