Tektro / Shimano Brake compatibility
I have two bikes, one with tektro brakes, one with shimano. The shimano feel a little nicer and I want to swap the calipers/discs/levers between the two bikes. Theres a pretty big difference in hose length between the two bikes. Do I need to get new hoses or can I leave the hoses on the bikes and swap the aforementioned components?

You should be able to just swap. My LBS hooked me up with some shimano fittings to hook up some old tektro brakes. Shimano has 2 standards BH59 and BH90, and I believe it's the 59 that's compatible with the tektro.
Sweet I think that's what I've got. Thanks!
