I have an LR Evo.

My oldest one is now throwing continuous bar faults.

This started a few weeks ago and after several attempts at cleaning it and a factory reset, it started working again.

This time, power cycling and factory resetting is not working. It comes back up and immediately goes to fault before the unit even gets past language selection.

If I take the tray out and hold down the tray sensor, I can keep pressing either bar (doesn't matter which one) and it'll cycle an inch at a time.

If it's not throwing bar fault, it will flash "obstruction" then go back to bar fault.

Not sure what else to do at this point.

I live in a crowded household with multiple unrelated adults and two kids belonging to one of the adults. Even though we aren't related, I've known the mom and kids for a very long time and can discipline them or assign chores or other things as necessary.

One of the kids is 16. He doesn't go to school. He doesn't have a job. There's a bunch of drama behind that, but today's post isn't about that beyond me mentioning it to show he has absolutely nothing to do so there is no excuse for this.

Two of us work full time, and I have lately started pulling 50 and 60 hour weeks. I've asked him to do very basic things to pick up the slack, because the house is a DISASTER.

He doesn't do them.

I have two male shelties that are both 3 years old.

They have been "bird safe" their entire lives. Even in their potty yard, I've seen baby cardinals and other small critters hopping around and they wouldn't even look at them.

They are raised around cats and my chickens and turkey will jump into their dog yard to steal kibble or just lay out in the grass.

Some time last year, I found a dead baby opossum in the yard. I wrote it off as a fluke or possibly them drawing a distinction between "things that live here" and "things that don't" or possibly it had been dropped by an owl.

Earlier this year, one of them started chasing a chicken and had it by the tail, and kept pouncing it in a

I own my home and have several people staying with me long term.

They don't make enough to contribute to the light bill so I pay it entirely myself.

All of them like the house being dark, everywhere. The kitchen, the living room, the hallways. I have limited windows and they do this at night, so it's not a "we like natural lighting" thing, they just seem to genuinely dislike light as if they were members of the undead.

Even when they do use lights, they turn them off when they leave the room.

It wouldn't be so bad if it were not for the fact that I'm practically blind and I need strong white light to freaking see. "Where's the remote?" I have no freaking clue, I can't see it because

I am a single older (39) woman who has always wanted their own children but it was just never "in the cards." I did not want a relationship because many of the men local to me were highly incompatible for various reasons, not least of all a higher incidence of domestic abuse and conflicting beliefs on education and raising families. I blew through my 20's and 30's trying to become financially stable enough to actually provide the things I wanted to provide to a child.

I have finally reached a point where I feel things are "good enough." I'm still working class -- not middle class. But I have a home, and a flexible, steady career that gives me time.

I started looking into adoption 5

Backstory, for context:

While I am technically not a parent, I live in a weird multi-family household where I'm basically "Backup Mom." There is me, Real Mom ("Cassie"), a 16 year old ("Jeb"), a preschooler, and 25 year old Aunt "Lucy."

While Lucy is technically an adult, she has the emotional maturity of a 15 year old, has had no schooling at all, can't drive, can't pay bills on her own, and has never had a real job. To give an example of the level of life experience Lucy has, I just taught her how to sign a receipt by herself and give a tip 3 days ago. (She is NOT disabled! She was horribly spoiled and raised in a conservative hellhole shoebox!)

The Problem:

Cassie and I are

I have 12 cats. Yes, 12. I have 3 Evo units that get no peace.

I love my litter robots, but I'm having a problem with the litter guard that goes on the bezel.

It takes about 4 hours after I fix it before I find that guard has been spun around to one of the sides (or the top!). The cats are presumably using it as a step and it just freely spins.

It's also hell to get back on once I've popped it off.

I've found that the cats don't like the units that have the sideways guards on them. They still use them, but just use them *less*.

But when I take the guards off, that's an open invitation to dig the litter straight out of the box onto the floor. The guard seems to softly encourage my

I have a houseful of cats -- 5 males and 7 females. They do not go outside.

All males are neutered.

The two oldest females are spayed.

The 5 other females include a 1.5 year old and kittens born last October. All of the unspayed females are related (sisters).

I've been spaying them as I get the money. However, I've noticed that 3 never seem to go into heat and the other two show only very very subtle symptoms that do not last a normal length of time -- they get a little more clingy for about 2 days, wanting to be constantly held and kneeding a lot, but do none of the vocalizing, wallowing, presenting, etc.

Is this possibly a genetic issue?

All are healthy weight and have their own

I am a 38 year old female.

I am beginning to wonder if I have some form of ADHD, and whether it is worth testing for it this late in the game of life. If I DO have it, I feel it's mild and for 99% of issues, I've coped with it.

Basic stuff: It's hard for me to focus for more than a few minutes without me checking out to the void, where I exist in my own little universe. Except for things I become doggedly focused on, which consume my every other thought, sometimes for 1-2 years at a time. I leg-bounce, chew my cheeks, pace with stress balls or fidget toys when figuring things out.

It works, nobody seems to care, all is well. I would leave it at that; however, there are two issues t

Just wanted to share a story for anyone feeling timid and desperate about interviews. This happened to me several years ago, but I remember it as the worst and most embarrassing interview I have ever had in my life. It's a bit long, sorry.

I lived in Louisiana and applied for an IT position with a company in Texas. My resume very clearly reflected my experience, and my goals. I got TWO phone interviews, with two managers. One was a skill test where I honestly answered questions, and made it very clear that I was not an expert but I knew how to find any answer and I was eager to learn.

Third call, they wanted to meet. Manager says he knew I wasn't skilled but he liked my approach and

I live on a small property (1.8 acres) in a rural area with a lot of neighbors on similar acreages. Everyone here has dogs (some of which are free roaming) and livestock.

I lost my "yard dog" last year, and ever since then, I have been overrun by destructive wildlife, everybody else's dogs, and I've gotten into fights with the druggies across the road from me. I'm a single woman and I just don't trust certain neighbors. Never had a single problem with 'invaders' while I had the dog.

I'm just so sick of the never-ending nightly parade of skunks, raccoons, and opossums. I raise poultry and had $1200 worth of birds taken out in just 2 nights. Just about 75 ducklings, goslings, full gro

I have 12 cats.

I did not want 12 cats, but I have 12 cats. I am not planning to rehome them.

They range from 12 years to 10 weeks old.

I currently feed a mixture of Paws & Claws Kitten food and Paws & Claws Adult food. I have given up on the foolishness that is trying to feed them separately, and they have "free access" to the storage tubs 24-7. I also pour out a line on the floor every night, so I know all of them are eating.

I want to feed a better quality feed, but it seems like there's not much inbetween what I am feeding now and cat food priced like it was made from the hearts of newborn unicorns. My senior-most cat is looking underweight and the kittens are not underweigh
