I (23f) lived in a 2 bedroom apartment with my parents for 12 years (since I was 12).

The summer of 2021, my parents bought a home in Florida and I moved out to attend graduate school. By move out time, my parents were paying $1100-$1200 in rent.

My last semester of graduate school is coming up, and I’d be interested in moving back to my hometown. I thought I could move back to the apartment complex, but rent for a 2 bedroom runs at like $1900 now. It’s not run by a private landlord, but the property manager knows me really well and she has watched me grow up.

What do you think my chances are of negotiating an apartment down to $1100-$1200?

Hello Mechanics, please offer your perspective on this.

My 2013 Kia Rio has been having odd issues. One day my car was dead, and I had to jump it, and it would be fine… then it would die again. The issue became more frequent to the point that I had to jump it every morning. Now, my car dies within the half hour, even if I drove 45 minutes on the highway before turning it off.

We have replaced my battery a number of times, the alternator, alternator belt, tightened the terminals, stopped a parasitic draw caused by my cars locking system (which also stopped working around this time). We have replaced every electrical component.

Can anyone recommend a Catholic organization for a young 20-something female to join?

I have Muslim friends on Facebook, and I feel a pull in my heart whenever they share different organizations they are a part of and events happening in our local city (Philadelphia) that are hosted by Muslim Associations.

I want to be part of an organization like that run by Catholics, but I am not sure where to start or where to look.

Do we have fun city events and parties? Do we have passionate associations that a woman can join? Thank you all and God bless :)

Hello, air fryers!

I have been wanting to deep clean my Emeril Lagasse air fryer, but am not sure how to approach this part of the air fryer. I am concerned about spraying anything on it, or even wiping it with something on it, as I am worried that what I use will slide through the many vents that I don't have access to...help?? I don't think I can disassemble it to clean it (I tried)

Hey counselors! On Monday I start practicum and I am so terrified! I don’t feel ready to work with students at all! I have to obtain at least 40 direct hours and I have no idea how I’m going to be able to do that (I’m afraid! Also will my supervisor have 40 hours worth of direct things for me to do??)

Trying to locate the knock sensor on my 2013 Kia Rio. I can see on the diagram where it's located (number 9), and I found that general area in my actual car--but where is the sensor? What am I missing? Help a broke graduate student locate and replace knock sensor?

Hello everyone!

I have a pretty brief need for guidance. For the fall, I registered for 6 classes which were all in-person courses. Around last month, this changed and those courses switched to online (not my choice). Most courses are hybrid and online, with very few being in person.

Edit: all of MY courses switched to online. All of the schools offered courses, which were originally in person, are now either online or hybrid.

Now, maybe it wouldn't bother me so much if my school weren't so small (Total enrollment of like 1,200), meaning that there are hardly any class options for me to take, as a senior my options are limited and the course options that would be in person I do not
