I'm helping a friend build a $1000 system to replace his soundbar, and he has narrowed the speakers he wants down to Klipsch RP-600m or RP-600m II. This will likely leave roughly around $300 for an amp, and I'm hoping to lean on some folks who own the 600m's (either the I or II) for amp recommendations based on their first-hand experience. I'm a Budget Audiophile myself, but being that I stick to the second hand market for the higher end stuff from the 90s as I was a salesman of it during that time, I'm not as experienced with the current crop of quality budget amplifiers. Thus, I'm hoping to lean on this communities wealth of knowledge.
First, he would like to buy new. For sources, he uses
Hi, I have worked in menswear for over ten years and am getting rid of my excess. I'm donating garments that aren't precious or don't hold any special value attached to the brand, fabric, or construction, and I'd like to try to get something back for those in that special category if possible. I've done Grailed in the past and didn't like it. I'd rather get less back and just be rid of what I don't wear anymore, but if there's one second-hand reseller that tends to pay better than others, my preference is to work with them.
When I lived in SF I would go to the Upper Haight location for Wasteland as that location paid more and had a very knowledgable buyer who was better at identifying item

I’m currently working on a project at one of the major music streaming services that its competitors have yet to get involved with. I’ve been working on this project since its early days, but it’s still such a new corner for streaming services that there aren’t any supportive roles in place that members of my team can be promoted into. I’ve been doing this for around 5 years and love what I do, but was hoping that by this point there would be more roles created to support the goals of this project (roles to be promoted into) and that hasn’t come to pass. Since that hasn't come to be, I want to focus on pivoting into a role that’s less niche, offers more opportunities within t
Hello, my 2008 Honda Civic Hybrid needed a new smog cert, and when this was underway today it failed the OBDII test with a "Not Ready" status. I was told that I may simply need to "reset" a sensor (he may have used another word) by driving the car for a while, between 80-100 miles with the rear window defroster engaged (a trick of the trade, he said), and after doing so to come back to re-do the test and see if that changes the Not Ready result at all. If it still doesn't pass I was told a new catalytic converter would be needed (and told that would cost $1,500 or so). The person helping me said he sees a lot of catalytic issues with my year of the Civic Hybrid.
I see some comments in this sub that he’s retiring at the end of the season. While true, for those that weren’t aware, his last game is sadly tonight against the Sharks. Do tune in if you’re able, and let your friends know in case they aren’t aware.
Hello. I recently acquired a Tandberg 3012a integrated amplifier that has a blown channel (and likely other problems). I’ve had the itch to learn about audio electronics for the sale of repairing and building my own amps for some time, and this bum unit feels like the right time to at least start learning (I’m not going to rush into repairs until I’m confident).
Curious if you fine folks wouldn’t mind steering me towards the educational materials you’d recommend for a beginner interested in this area. Thank you.
Hello, I’m passing through Indiana for the holidays and am trying to find some well-ventilated options for a meeting spot to eat with family in the area. Added bonus if the establishment is dog friendly (have a very mild mannered dog).
Any recommendations would be very much appreciated - the restaurants and bars with kitchens I’ve called thus far haven’t fit the bill so far. I know what I’m looking for may be a stretch this time of year, but I’ve got my fingers crossed. Thanks!
I have a roommate that has overstayed his welcome by a few years and won't move out but that is besides the point. I bring that up as we aren't presently speaking otherwise I would ask what he's aiming for here.
This arrangement is on the roof of the building, right above where he lays his head on his pillow (our apartment is on the top floor). Meditation enhancement? Something to help with astral traveling? Interestingly the center crystal seems to have been set over a lit candle and you can see where an interior cavity of the crystal has become black. Curious what that is about.
