Using 9.36.0, the only way I can disconnect is by killing the app (MacOS). It always used to be clicking the Connection button. Is something broken?

I have previously been a user of Motley Fool which turned out badly - pretty much all the tips I took from them lost at least 60%.

Does anyone have any good bloggers or commentary sources that they follow? Not looking for get rich quick type rubbish, but quality analysis and data.

I am happy to put the time in doing research but weeding out the paywalls, hype and so on would be a good start.

Family member was contracting during last financial year and made good money but the contract has ended and they are now unemployed (although still looking for work). They have been given a hefty provisional tax assessment but are most likely going to be moving back to permanent employment where they will pay PAYE so inevitably end up with a large tax refund (providing they find a job).

I understand the reasons for provisional tax but where circumstances change like this, is there a method to get that assessment reversed?

I haven't been able to find the answer by googling.

So I had my first colonoscopy this weekend. The prep was by far the hardest part of the whole thing. Couple of days on a white diet (no fruit, seeds, grains etc) then liquids only from 4pm the day before. I was a little hangry but got plenty of Sprite and jelly down me to keep my sugar up.

The laxative stuff tasted pretty bad but powered through it and within 20 minutes of the first dose on the evening I was off to start the long night in the bathroom. It was not as horrific as I anticipated but my advice is to stay close..

Very early morning start for the second dose of prep as my procedure was the first of the day at the clinic. A few more visits to the bathroom but again not terrible.

Having my first colonoscopy and haemorrhoid banding tomorrow which will be under sedation. Wondering what to expect for the recovery time and being able to return to normal life. I have a party to attend about 10 hours after the procedure and would typically be having a few beers. Would this be likely or will I be curled up feeling groggy and nursing a sore ass?

What bars in Welly do specials on bottles of Champagne at the moment? The bar at the end of Shed 5 used to do Mumm as a regular special but that was a year or two ago.

Wondering what the rave scene is like in Welly, not really interested in the student type bars where everyone is super drunk but more clubs that are about the music and good vibes.

My family have a Family Trust which we set up 20 years ago, and our home is owned by the Trust. I am wondering if we should be getting the trust deed reviewed and checking that all the required documents are complete and up to date (for example we have not kept minutes for meetings etc). Is this something people recommend? And are there any recommendations on a good lawyer who specialises in this kind of thing (preferably in Wellington) please?

What is it with guys wearing RMs with the tugs out? Is it just to show off that they can afford expensive boots?

I have two pairs but never wear the tugs out, can’t understand why guys do? Am I missing something?

I have a Hot Spring Limelight spa which has never caused any issues. The panel is displaying the temp as 46C but the water temp is perfect. I have tried cycling the power and nothing seems to fix it.

Any suggestions before I shell out the $$ on a serviceman please? I am wondering if there may be a blockage somewhere perhaps?

Looking for a benchmark for pocket money for teens (14 & 16). Currently they get $15 a week. Do people think this is about right?

It’s just for discretionary spending, if they need to buy school lunch then that’s extra. We pay their phone plans as well.
