I've been thinking about the whole reincarnation thing and with how Fromville never really tells you the truth, only what you want to hear.

We're assuming that the monsters that come out at night are previous inhabitants who killed their kids to live forever. What if that isn't the case?

In the latest episode, we learned that nightmares come to life when the dreamer dies. What if the monsters were the nightmares of a inhabitant from the 1978 cohort. The monsters are dressed in the clothing of 1950s to 1970s fashion. Now, it's entirely possible that the inhabitants of the town were building mainly from the 50s to 70s when they all died except for Victor and it's possible that the monsters s

This is just a theory but the reason the paper bookmark didn't work was because there was no personal attachment. I think the personal items in the storage room are the bookmarks. They are tied to the previous inhabitants of the town and probably have psychic remnants of the previous owner.

Thoughts?

I was just reviewing Gradey's stats from his first 3 years in the league and I'm optimistic about his ability to turn it around in year 4. It's difficult to compare totals due to his reduced and inconsistent role but looking at some key stats makes me believe he improved in most areas this season except for his 3 pt shooting.

His driving, his ability to take contact, his finishing inside the arc, taking care of the ball, ft shooting all improved. And even though his defense is still sub par, he improved in that area as well.

I believe the precipitous drop in his 3pt shot was due to a mental thing like the yips. So if he can get his mind right for year 4, I think he'll have a real bounce ba

Am I Playing the Game Wrong?

Gameplay Discussion

I've been playing for about a month now and unlocked the decks up to Black Stake and working on Blue now. I haven't really watched any Balatro University although it seems to be highly recommended because I kinda want to figure things out for myself and get a hint or tip/trick here or there.

But I peruse this sub from time to time and all I see are multiple copies of Blueprint, everyone playing pairs or high card, etc. When I play, I rarely see the jokers that are needed to play pairs or any of the coveted combos that are mentioned here.

Am I doing something wrong? Or am I only seeing best case scenarios on this sub when in reality, these situations are 1-in-100?

Not sure if I picked the right flair for this one but here goes...

I’ve been thinking about a way to improve the player–ref relationship. Between constant complaining, quick technicals, and the general “us vs them” vibe, it’s pretty clear the dynamic isn’t helping the game or the fan experience.

The idea is that active NBA players should periodically serve as guest referees for games they’re not involved in.

It wouldn't be a permanent, every game sort of thing but a structured program where current players rotate in as the third ref for select regular season games.

I think this could help because:

  1. Players would gain firsthand respect for how insanely hard officiating is. Referee

I don't have the full version of BF6, only REDSEC but I have a couple of challenges that I can't find the mode for.

There's a squad deathmatch challenge and a king of the hill challenge. Usually the BF6 challenges that I can't complete are in red for me so am I missing something? Those 2 challenges are black/grey.

Chris Brown seems to be one of the more controversial figures on this sub. I've never really got into his music partly due to his personal issues, partly due to whatever songs I did hear never resonated with me.

For Chris Brown fans, what are the essential songs from his catalogue that you'd recommend?

Just initial impressions from reaching Infinite today.

First, getting to Infinite in the first week is an accomplishment for any player but getting there and seeing your ranking immediately is in the high thousands kinda dulls the shine.

Second, the bonus for Infinite for me was freeing myself from the grind and experimenting with new cards/decks without losing rank. The Leaderboard negates that. At least for people with my personality type. Instinctively, I see my 9000 rank and I don't want it to get worse.

I'm sure they'll add onto it like end of season prizes or something but these are just some initial impressions.

Anyone else feel the same way? Or differently?

I don't see it as a featured location today but I swear that 9 of the last 10 matches I've played had Triskelion.

Or am I just the victim of the RNG?

I don't think anyone was pleased with the direction of card acquisition over the past few months. But as someone that's been playing since global launch, the past month has been great. Tons of variants and was able to acquire the cards I wanted from this month's releases.

At this point, I'm only missing 5 cards - Stegron, Jean Grey, Howard, Echo and Mirage. I'll probably pin Stegron and save up tokens and then get Jean from the September cache.

Anyone else happy with their collection?

Also note I'm not FTP. I do buy the seasons pass every month. Is the experience worse for free to players?
