out in kanata... on a non-busy street (we normally get <10 visitors a night) we wanted to take the kid out so we left a bowl full (100pcs) with a note saying "please don't take them all" ... come back an hour later ... the entire bowl is gone. No way we had enough visitors to account for that. So some greedy punk came by and cleared it out.

I hope they get type 2 diabetes.

Next year we just won't buy any candy. There's no point if one kid coming by is just going to take it all.

For ref, our 3.5 year old wandered up to a door with a similar setup and she only took a few candies before leaving. A 3 year old knows better. Fuck your parenting Kanata.

... or is it just me?

I'm trying to correct my Fibe TV bill. So I fire up their chat service. After waiting 5 mins for an agent I then get the slowest fucking typer on the planet and 10 mins after that I get "oh sorry you have to call to change charges on your bill."

Ok ... so find the #. Now you might think the Bell support # is who you call for Fibe TV. Hint, it isn't. Good luck fucking finding it. I have once before but I'll be damned if I remember how. I even googled it...

So now I called the support line at 8:50am ... on hold ... on hold ... on hold ... I call back at 9:04am and get their "callback service" ... which means I was on hold for literally nobody at 8:50am ... it wo

So I can't open a ticket for a parcel that wasn't delivered because their system erroneously believes it was delivered. And nowhere on their website can I open a generic ticket for help I have to call a toll free number...

And they wonder why people don't care for CP....

Just had one come by at 1pm in Kanata... said he needed to do a safety check on the furnace/etc. Told him I owned them and he wasn't setting foot in my house. Insisted as my house is on a "list" told him to pound sand. He kinda gave up at that point and left. Just heads up.

edit: Just in case you don't know these people try to get into your house and sell you on energy/gas plans you don't need and are typically a rip off. the trick is once they get in the house they keep repeating/pressuring till you sign something. Just say no, don't let them in your house.

I'm trying to donate (without luck) my used conventional (non-HE) washer/dryer to charities in Ottawa without luck.

Habitat wants $25 per appliance (which is fine) but I have to load them myself (I don't own a dolly) ... I told them to pound sand.

Is there any reasonable charity out there that will take them off my hands for a reasonable fee without me actually loading them myself?

ugh ok I'll admit this is a shit post ...

But here's the gist ... if you guys want to "talk about" things like UBI or education or whatever you need to stop going to the user pages of people you disagree with and down-spamming all of their posts. Downvoting people doesn't mean you proved any point or are advancing the topic any. It just means you're a child and can't handle not getting your way.

Sorry for the shit post... just getting tired of endlessly running around in circles trying to explain basic finance to people and then getting downvoted to oblivion for my trouble by people who don't offer any counter argument or explanation...

Was at the leafs game in section 313... Mostly good times but time for "ottawa shitty post..."

If you find yourself pushing 6 year old kids around in the hallway to get to your next beer quicker ... go fuck yourself. I didn't bring my kid to the game (too young anyways) but I found myself running interference when people tried to push me into children to get through.

What. The. Fuck.

Also Leafs fans have no class but oddly enough I saw Sens fans getting ejected by the police ... weird world.

The circlejerk is strong here. I'm not a cpc supporter but I find the one sided vitriol saddening. I hope to see you all after the new Parliament starts to make sure you stand by your votes....
