I commonly see on Twitter the argument made that price inflation is not the result of increases in M1 and M2, since the velocity of money has also decreased which counterbalances the inflationary aspect. I'm curious what the Austrian rebuttal to this is? I've read articles on mises.org about this but to honest they didn't seem to make a strong argument, but perhaps I misunderstood them.
Example Twitter posts talking about this:

Alright also taking suggestions for when a company totally beats or totally misses earnings/revenue

Seems like it might be beneficial to get some Austrian contribution to this wikidebate page
en.wikiversity.org/wiki/Is_capitalism_sustain...This is just a rant, but I love C++, and its such a massive and influential language, but why is it that while most other major programming languages have nice, convenient built in libraries for things like parsing a datetime string, or printing a datetime as a string (even C has strftime and related functions), with the STL we have to wait until C++20 before anybody even considers adding date and time functionality to chrono (and who knows if that will actually be any good)? I'm not even talking about timezones. I will be developing some project, having a great time, and then all of a sudden there is a need (a quite common need) for manipulating or generating timestamps, and my heart will s
I looked at this article but I'm still not entirely sure. If I passed the series 65 would I still be able to operate on IB as a non-professional investor if I am still just trading on my own exclusively for myself under my name?
A big example of the Austrian praxeological approach butting heads with more empirical approaches to economics is the minimum wage debate, where those who produce studies showing no change or even increases in employment after a minimum wage bill is passed are asked (by Austrians and other economists) for an explanation of the process by which this occurs. Many didn't seem to have an answer. I came across this 2002 paper recently which in part attempts to provide such an explanation. This paper itself even states:
One of the reasons that Card and Krueger (1994) was initially met with skepticism was the lack of a convincing th

This is probably a dumb question but I'm also feeling quite frustrated at this point. I've been trying to figure a solution to this via trial and error along with the docs but I can't seem to identify what I am supposed to do.
I've started using PyCharm for developing a somewhat large project that has a folder structure that looks like:
src
folder1
f1source1.py
f1source2.py
f1source3.py
folder2
f2source1.py
f2source2.py
folder3
f3source1.py
f3source2.py
source1.py
source2.py
source3.py
Before PyCharm I would just use a text editor and the command lin
As in, can any member of the public go somewhere (either through a formal request or through a website) and see a certain trade, see who bought, how many were purchased, etc? I tried Googling and it seems really strange to me if these trades are actually private.
