I saw the respective fan-image and wondered if there was any further information in the texts given as to the Dwarven rings and the rings of men? I know the PJ films show a brief depiction of both and I think the Amazon showed a different depiction as well.
I'm recently with a new company and running into an issue, i have come up empty with my IT and research myself so I'm coming to this sub for assistance.
In outlook most emails and replies refuse to group together in conversation mode, see photo for example. There are emails that DID correctly group, but overall I'd day 75% of email replies create a new grouping. I will end up with 10+ "conversations" that are all the same subject and should be grouped together. I have confirmed that the conversation setting is turned on. I am aware one of the example emails is in a folder, I just hadn't done so here yet, this does not seem to be affecting this issue. It happens constantly even in standard
I have to give a little background here on me to hopefully help get as many helpful replies as possible. I've been riding for 28 years, the last 16 of them on the road. I've been wrenching on cars, motorcycles, industrial equipment (air compressors), and the occasional diesel engine for roughly the past 25 years. I'm not a professional but I'm not beginner. That being said I feel like I'm missing something and really struggling. Wall of text incoming...
I bought an 04 R1150R not too long ago knowing it had a clutch issue. I've since replaced the clutch, the flywheel, the starter, the transmission (with a verified good used one), the slave cylinder, every fluid on the bike. I CANNOT get this
My 04 1150R makes the most awful metal on metal grinding sound I've ever heard when you attempt to start it and energize the starter.
It sounded to me like the clutch and input splines were slipping past each other as it sounded to me like it was coming from the transmission area rather than the engine. So I have replaced the clutch, transmission, starter, all fluids, lubed splines, and re-assembled. Figured I'd be good to go....press the started and still the same noise. I thought I had a video of the noise so I'll link one if I find it, but currently trying to minimize any metal on metal contact so I don't want to make the noise again if I can help it.
Any advice, input, opinion? I'm ups
I've got an 08 E92 that I adore. It's the perfect daily so I don't wanna accidentally "racecar" it. It's an AWD that I got for about 6 grand 5 years ago. I've put about 60k miles on it in that time, it's never skipped a beat but im also pretty anal about maintenance and taking care of it. It's just shy of 140k miles right now and the turbos are about to give up the ghost.
I decided to replace the turbos with the stock Mitsubishi ones. Reliability, cost, etc was the move. Because it's a pain to do turbos in the AWD models I figured I'll pull the motor. With the motor out I figured I'd do the clutch. Now I'm down the rabbit hole and have about $4500 in replacement parts to refresh the car.

So backstory is that I'm a pretty experienced automotive mechanic, I work in a technical role on industrial machinery, and I've been maintaining my bikes for the past 15 years. But I've never done fork seal replacement or rebuilds on my own. It's something ve always paid local shops to do, but I'm ready to add this to my repertoire.
I'm looking for advice, recommended tools, anything really to help me begin this process.
I've got a badly leaky fork on my 2013 Speed Triple that needs attention asap and I'm not sure where to start or what tools I'll need specifically.
I finally figured out why I'm frustrated with the show at its core. I was expecting a show about the forging of the rings of power, at least this first season should be all about celebrimbor. His relationship with the dwarves, his lineage, all about Eregion, etc.
I understand why they can't use the books other than the one Appendix, so I kind of get it. But I think this is the big point of why I'm upset. My expectations for what the show would be have been completely subverted, I know its only episode 5 but that should be plenty of time to have at least mention the idea of creating the damn rings.
Also I love the idea of focusing on Galadriel as a character, although I'm not stoked on thi
As a National Guardsman are there any regulations or known policies in regards to being required to do any of the mandatory training stuff while in a paid duty status?
Background: I'm a guardman being told I have many hours of mandatory online trainings that HAVE to be done prior to drill on my own time. I understand that with limited availability for computers at an Armory that it is beneficial to do it before drill, but is there anything out there stating that we can't be forced to do it outside of drill or that we should be getting paid to do so? I work a minimum of 60 hours weeks at my civilian job, I simply don't have the time to devote to this outside of drill.

So I snagged a deal on another R1150R because it needs a clutch. Anyone got a decent write up for the job? I've got a clymer manual for it on the way, but figured I'd start researching now.
Prefer 400, and in pink or purple, but will consider any disc.
Got a 2012 328i with a dead FRM. I do not have a cable nor experience with any tools other than MHD and about 5 min of Protools so I hoping to get some help here. I've got loads of automotive experience so I'm planning on replacing the FRM myself as it's an easy job, ideally with a locally sourced used part.
Any shops or individuals in the Tampa FL area that could help out with programing the new to me module to the vehicle?
Edit: I've already confirmed with dealer that it's no longer covered under warranty. Apparently the in service date for this car is like Mid 2011 so it's well past and out.
