I'm 35K status and as far as I can tell, a core benefit of 35K for 2026 is Preferred Seat Selection at *check in*.

I've noticed that if I don't select any seat prior to check in, the automatically assigned seat at check in will usually be a preferred seat (cool) and I won't be charged. However, I can't actually change the seat - any attempts at changing the preferred seat to another preferred seat (eg window to aisle) results in Air Canada attempting to charge me the usual preferred seat fee of 80$ or whatever for the flight.

This seems broken - shouldn't I be able to select any Preferred seat upon Check in? Has anyone else noticed this?

We are lucky enough to have a Rocket Boxer espresso machine at work (single grouphead), however one of the issues we have is that it is essentially always running. Since it takes a long time to heat up and there is no one consistently turning it on/off, it's essentially running 24/7. This causes a few issues, namely its a waste of electricity but also it seems to significantly reduce the lifespan of the gasket, and the shower screen builds up coffee oils significantly faster (I imagine because it's essentially cooking the grouphead all night and all weekend).

I was wondering if anyone has solved this problem - the coffee machine is hooked up via a NEMA L6-30 socket; I wonder if there is a

Hi!

It looks like this issue keeps cropping back every so often and getting fixed, so I just wanted to point out that the current version of 1Password (7.6) doesn't work with Safari Tech Preview (release 110) on macOS. The extension is enabled fine, but neither the keyboard shortcut nor autofill works at all. It would be awesome if the 1Password team could take a look at this!

Anyone else seeing this or has a potential workaround? Thanks!

A few months ago I opened support tickets with Teksavvy because my Cable connection kept dropping packets. I would get upwards of 10% packet loss at peak times, which meant any type of voice communication, online gaming, Netflix streaming would really suffer. I ran all the battery of tests support asked, including having a Teksavvy support employee remote in with logmein and he could barely stay connected long enough with all the packets dropping.

While troubleshooting this, Teksavvy sent the ticket to Rogers, and one day my IP magically changed (to a completely different subnet, without me doing anything), and the problem went away, so I closed my Teksavvy ticket. I don't know if it was r

Just got an email from Teksavvy saying my 30Mbps/150GB plan is going from 44.95$ to 47.95$. No increase in bandwidth or cap this time around (like last time they tweaked the prices).

They also implemented a new "Shared Internet Resources Policy" which sounds like they'll have a new way of shaping your traffic. They have some pretty good explanations here: http://teksavvy.com/en/why-teksavvy/policies/legal-stuff/internet-traffic-management-practices

Anyone else affected by the price increase? Thoughts on the Zap the Cap going away and their new policy?

Hey everyone,

I have very a simple question, and for some reason I haven't yet been able to find a conclusive answer. Hopefully I can get it here:

For an ETF like VCN, are dividends paid out to the investors, or somehow re-invested in the ETF?

When I look at VCN, I can clearly see a yield and a dividend schedule - should I expect to receive dividend payments from the ETF quarterly, or do they get somehow re-invested and contribute to the growth of the ETF?

Recently bought an older-ish home and wondering if having an energy audit done would be a good idea. Unfortunately all the government credits seem to have expired, but along that it seems most company doing them have also gone away.

Has anyone recently got an energy audit done and would recommend a company? I'm basically looking for a detailed list of where the home is losing heat, and a list of what I can do in priority order to improve it (ie: best bang for your buck).

Thanks!
