I recently started exploring Framer as a website builder, and I have to say—it’s incredibly powerful! Unlike traditional site builders, Framer offers:

✅ True no-code design freedom – Feels like Figma but with real functionality.
✅ Blazing fast performance – Static sites with built-in optimizations.
✅ AI-powered features – Speed up the design process effortlessly.
✅ Seamless animations & interactions – No extra coding required.
✅ Easy publishing & hosting – No need to worry about servers.

For designers, it’s the perfect tool to turn Figma designs into live websites instantly. For developers, the ability to add custom code when needed makes it super flexible.

I've been exploring Framer for website design, and I have to say—it's a game-changer! 🔥 The ability to design and publish fully responsive websites with smooth animations and interactions, all without touching a single line of code, is impressive.

Some of the things I love about Framer:
✅ Instant Preview & Publishing – No need to set up hosting; just design and go live.
✅ Animations & Interactions – Built-in tools make micro-interactions seamless.
✅ No-Code & Developer-Friendly – Great for designers but also flexible for custom code.
✅ SEO & Performance – Fast-loading and optimized pages with built-in best practices.

I'm curious—who else here has used Framer for web

I'm trying to create a smooth transition for my navbar in Framer Motion so that it starts as transparent and becomes solid when the user scrolls down.

What's the best way to achieve this effect? Should I use useScroll and useTransform, or is there a better approach? Also, how can I ensure the animation is smooth and performance-friendly?

Would love to see any examples or best practices! Thanks in advance.

Hey everyone!

I'm working on a project in Framer and want to connect my custom domain, but I'm a bit unsure about the best approach. I've gone through Framer's documentation, but I still have a few questions:

1️⃣ Do I need to use Framer's built-in hosting, or can I connect my domain while using another hosting provider?
2️⃣ How long does it usually take for DNS settings to propagate after making changes?
3️⃣ Any common issues or mistakes to avoid when setting up the domain?
4️⃣ Does Framer offer SSL automatically, or do I need to configure it separately?

Would love to hear your experiences or any tips you might have! Thanks in advance. 😊

Hey, Framer community,

I’m curious about the best practices for handing off a website built in Framer to a client or a development team. If you've been through this process, I’d love to hear your insights!

Here are a few specific questions I have:

  1. Access & Permissions: What’s the best way to give a client access to their Framer site? Should I transfer ownership or keep them as an editor?
  2. Client Training: How do you ensure a smooth transition? Do you provide documentation, video tutorials, or live walkthroughs?
  3. Design System & Components: If the project is complex, how do you structure the components and design system to make it easy for non-designers to manage updates

Hey everyone! 👋

I’ve been exploring different payment solutions for a Framer website, and I’m particularly interested in integrating PayPal Checkout. I know Framer doesn’t have a built-in payment gateway, so I’m curious—what’s the best way to make this work?

A few questions I have:

  1. Is there a no-code way to integrate PayPal Checkout in Framer, or does it require custom code?
  2. What’s the best approach? Should I use PayPal’s Smart Payment Buttons, embed a checkout link, or go through a third-party service like Gumroad or Lemon Squeezy?
  3. Has anyone successfully implemented PayPal Checkout on Framer? If so, what were the challenges, and how did you solve them?

Hey everyone! 👋

I've been exploring Framer lately and wanted to ask about connecting a domain name to Framer. I know Framer allows you to publish sites with their default subdomain, but I’d like to connect my own custom domain (e.g., mywebsite.com) for a more professional look.

From what I understand, the process involves updating DNS settings, but I have a few questions:

1️⃣ Where do I get started? Do I need to configure something inside Framer first before updating my domain settings?

2️⃣ Which DNS records should I update? I've seen mentions of CNAME and A records—what exactly do I need to change in my domain registrar's settings (like GoDaddy, Namecheap, or Cloudflare)

Hey everyone! 👋

I've been exploring Framer for a while, and I keep coming across the question: "Is Framer's Basic Plan worth it?" I wanted to break it down for anyone considering it.

🔍 What Do You Get with Framer’s Basic Plan?

For $5/month (billed annually) or $10/month (billed monthly), the Basic plan includes:
✅ One Published Site – Ideal for small projects or personal websites.
✅ Framer Branding on Free Sites Removed – Looks more professional.
✅ Basic Hosting & SSL – No worries about security or performance.
✅ CMS with 1,000 Items – Enough for blogs, portfolios, and small projects.
✅ Collaboration Tools – Limited compared to the Pro plan but

Hey everyone! 👋

I’ve been exploring Framer for building websites, and I’m wondering about domain options. I know some platforms provide free subdomains or even custom domains on certain plans.

1️⃣ Does Framer offer a free domain name, or only a free subdomain (*.framer.website)?
2️⃣ If I want a custom domain, do I need a paid plan?
3️⃣ Are there any workarounds to connect a free custom domain to a Framer site?
4️⃣ Has anyone used third-party services (like Freenom) to get a free domain and link it to Framer?
5️⃣ Are there better alternatives for getting a free domain while using Framer?

Hey Framer experts! 👋

I’m working on a design where I need to flip an element (like a card, image, or text) in Framer—either on hover, click, or as part of an animation. Before I dive into different methods, I wanted to ask the community:

1️⃣ What’s the best way to flip an element in Framer?
2️⃣ Do you prefer using rotateY / rotateX for a 3D flip effect? Or do you use scaleX(-1) for a simple horizontal flip?
3️⃣ How do you handle smooth transitions when flipping an element?
4️⃣ Have you ever used Framer Motion’s animate / variants for flip effects? Any cool tricks?
5️⃣ What’s the best way to flip a group of elements together while keeping them aligned?
6️⃣ Any c

Hey everyone! I’m working on a project where I need to keep the navigation bar at the top of the page while scrolling. I’ve come across different ways to do it, but I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Some Questions for Discussion:

1️⃣ What’s your go-to method for keeping a navbar fixed at the top?
2️⃣ Do you prefer position: fixed; or position: sticky;? Why?
3️⃣ Have you ever faced issues with sticky navbars inside containers with overflow: hidden;? How did you fix it?
4️⃣ How do you handle content that gets hidden behind a fixed navbar?
5️⃣ Have you ever used JavaScript for a dynamic sticky navbar effect? Did it work well?
6️⃣ What’s the best way to add a smooth tra

If you're considering using Framer Free, you might be wondering how many templates are included. Here’s a breakdown:

✅ Framer Free Plan gives you access to a limited selection of templates, but you can still explore some great starting points for your project.
✅ While premium templates require an upgrade, you can always duplicate free community templates from Framer’s showcase section.
✅ Custom templates can be built from scratch, even on the free plan!

So, while Framer Free doesn't come packed with a ton of ready-made templates, you can still create and use basic ones without upgrading.
