500+ Pages. I don't do half-measures.

Hello there, this is Mildra, lead designer and project lead on Legend Edition.

While i've posted this elsewhere, I realized the last post on this project was merely the SAGE demo from a year ago. The project is now out of beta, and has been for at least a month. While there's still some kinks to iron out in editing and errata, I consider it feature-complete because there is nothing else I intend on adding to the core.

The full core set contains three books, combined for a total of early 800 pages of content:

I'm very happy to celebrate the fourth anniversary of this subreddit and, with it, release a new version of the FFRPG 4e core rulebook: Remastered. This version marks the jump from old text file to pdf typesetting to a brand new language, using XeLaTeX, thanks to the immensurable help from u/atmafox and Weaver, as well as grammar fixes, rebalancing, erratas, new abilities, and much more.

I'm very glad to how this project has moved on, since the early begginnings in 2014 when I decided to do it, and how it helped foster a very nice online community around it. This passion I've felt from all of you who helped making this true, no matter how little you think you helped, is what gave me the wi

Greetings! In Feb 29th, 2016, I published the Core Rulebook of the game. Now, 2 and a half years later, I present you a Revised version of the book. Main features of this version are:

  • Lots of gramar bugs corrected;
  • Reorganization of the book chapters to make it more easy on new players;
  • Inclusion of the Freelancer and Squire Jobs (originally presented in the FFT Worldbook);
  • Inclusion of all Errata and lots of new balance changes, including the Druid rework;
  • Katanas now presented as a weapon type.

Also, I proudly present you the conversion of the original r/omegafantasy starter adventure, Chaos in Cornelia, to the FFRPG 4th

Hello! 5 years after the last release of FFRPG4e, I got the urge to write a little bit in it so here's a small release making adjustments to several jobs. To download it, use the regular download link: FFRPG4e Remaster. Enjoy!

Patch 4.1.3 CHANGELOG

NEW FEATURES

- Druid got 5 new Specialties, incorporating the optional "Beastmaster" abilities into the corebook.

*The idea was to bring those extra specialties out of the Optional Rules Depot into the book itself, allowing easier access to it for players. The Beastmaster specialties allows a Summoner druid to focus on Taming monsters, instead of progressing to gain summons. In addition, the fact they are special

Well, before talking about the future of the game, I would like to talk a little about the past of FFRPGs. In the past, we've had to kinds of development cycles. One of them was the "start from ground zero" method. This is how FFRPG 3e and FFRPG 4e were done: the development team created their books from scratch, and while they paid homage to the earlier versions, were built under new assumptions and had the freedom to completely cut or transform entire subsystems from the moment work began.

This is, however, not the only way it has been done in FFRPG history. The jump from 1st to 2nd edition was made in a much more incremental way, with 1.0 leading to 1.1, then 1.2, then 2nd edition once

I'm very happy to announce that a new version of the Final Fantasy Tactics worldbook is now officially released! Many thanks to u/omegafantasy who has worked with me on this project. Also many thanks to all people who have given feedback on the preview version. This update improves upon the original in the following aspects:
- a facelift of the worldbook part with minor improvements

- a major update of the FFRPG specific rules

- a new section with specific rules for Omega Fantasy

You can find it at the same link as before (http://bit.ly/FFRPG4thDLC4).

Exactly one year ago I have made post on this subreddit about a new Final Fantasy tabletop game called Omega Fantasy. Since then the OF community has been working hard on extending and refining the system far beyond its original scope. Today I proudly present you the official release of Omega Fantasy! Many thanks to the man himself, u/BrunoCarvalhoPaula who has helped the project in various ways.
