Rules for r/MakeupAddicts

1. Please stay on topic!

We're here to discuss makeup products, looks and everything else that's related to makeup. This does not include hair, nails, skincare... just makeup, please!

No fishing for compliments posts.

2. Be kind to others, and to yourself.

Post titles, descriptions, and comments must not be self-deprecating, self-disparaging, or otherwise unkind in tone. Content implying requests for sympathy may also be removed.

Bigotry, personal attacks, racism, homophobia, and transphobia will not be tolerated and will result in a ban.

This rule is not to be confused with opinions you don't agree with. People are allowed to express opinions you don’t like- as long as it’s done in a respectful manner, we will allow it.

3. No spam, self-promotion or referral codes.

No spamming your blog, website, business or social media. No surveys. Exceptions can be arranged prior for active members in our community if your blog/website/social relates to the topic at hand.

Absolutely NO referral/affiliate links or codes.

Do not repost removed or self-deleted content. This is a form of spam and is not allowed.

No AI/ChatGPT.

4. No MLM's. Period.

No promoting, shilling or recommending MLM products in this sub.

MLM (multi-level marketing) is a predatory practice that often targets women and those in vulnerable situations. r/MakeupAddicts will not be a place for promoting such products/practices.

5. No NSFW.

We're here to look at your makeup. Do not post photos of anything that you wouldn't show your grandmother. This is not a NSFW sub.

6. Moderator discretion.

Moderators reserve the right to make decisions in the best interests of the sub and its users, including removing posts that are overly dramatic or are deemed likely to cause undue drama or controversy. Posts that are low effort may be removed. If we can't see your makeup in your photo or it is too filtered, your post may be removed.
