Welcome to r/StatelyHomes! Join us in appreciating the architecture and character of the British stately home.

While you're here, we ask that you please follow a few rules:

1. Follow Reddiquette

2. Be civil to each other

3. Titles

For titles, be sure to include:

The name of the house
The county where it's located
Where possible, please try to include the style and year the house was finished or rebuilt in its current form

4. On posting a house that's already here:

This is fine so long as the new post is:

From a different angle, or of a different face of the house
An interior picture that hasn't been shown before
A painting, drawing, etching, floor plan, etc of a house

5. Daily Posting Limit:

We ask that users limit themselves to one post per day. More than this can make it difficult to appreciate individual posts (we're still a small sub), and other users' posts can be buried. If you still want to participate after posting, start or join a discussion on an existing post.
