Welcome to the Lambda Hydrae star system. Once part of the Federation-Romulan Neutral zone, with the fall of the Romulan Star Empire following the destruction of Romulus, the region has opened up to the galaxy, including the tentative crew of Starbase Athene Noctua, a hastily deployed R1 Invictus-class starbase seeking to establish Federation presence in the region. Join the gallant crew of the Athene Noctua, her support craft, the USS Tempest, and every adventurous merchant, glory-seeker, or refugee flooding to the region as we explore strange new worlds, seek out new life and new civilizations, boldly going where no one has gone before.

r/TrekRP is the only subreddit dedicated to long-form, character-driven storytelling about the trials and tribulations of a Starfleet crew and the myriad of aliens around them. We're dedicated to bringing you an authentic Star Trek experience, and until we figure out a way to slingshot around the sun it's the closest we can get to standing on the bridge of a real Starfleet vessel.

State of the sector:

Rocky Beginings

With the starbase and Tempest crew given less than the bare minimum of time needed to prepare for the change in mission and local, things are off to a difficult start, as the station is barely functional and the available crew woefully unprepared and disorganized for the task of setting up for long-term presence in the region.

Meanwhile, all manner of potentially friendly and probably not-so-friendly members of the nearby empires, freelance pilots, merchants, and what-have-you are all scrambling to make the most of what has, for so many centuries, been forbidden space. What treasures and dangers might be lurking here?

The year is 2389 (Stardates 66000-66999) and all threads are considered part of our Series 2: Season 1.

Do not control or write for other characters without the owners' explicit out of character permission. (i.e godmodding)
Alt accounts for secondary characters and/or pets must be cleared by a moderator before use. There is a limit of 3 alt accounts per 1 player. There is a waiting time of 1 month between creating new accounts. If you wish to play a new character but have reached the character cap of 3, you may retire one of them and after 1 month, will be eligible for adding a new one.
