Hi everyone! 👋

My name is Annie - I work as the Director of Outcomes at Codesmith.

I’ve been with Codesmith for almost 5 years now - I started as the first team member full-time focused on career support back in 2019 and since that time have been able to support Codesmith’s Outcomes - team, processes, and most importantly, graduate support.

In addition to supporting grads in the hiring program and post-program, my team (and myself personally) work with graduates to ensure we collect their outcomes information used in CIRR Reports.

As you all know, the CIRR board has been hard at work rolling out the new 360 day standards, and I’m super excited to see the reports have gone live.

Hi Everyone,

I’m Carlos (linkedin) and I was hired as a Senior Software Engineer on the Machine Leaning team at Capital One after I graduated Codesmith’s immersive program.  I’ll be doing an AMA here at 2pm EST, if you can make it.

I wasn’t in tech before Codesmith, nor an adjacent role, in fact, I was an orchestral conductor traveling the world visiting orchestras and helping to improve them—until the pandemic hit and left me looking for other options. After two promotions in three years I’m now a Principal Associate within the Treasury at Capital One, where I'm often involved in the hiring process for other software engineers, plenty of whom came

I’m Will Sentance from Frontend Masters and Codesmith.

I love to think about how to teach programming/ML/AI and the future of tech/jobs/society so will be great fun to answer your Qs on all those topics (and lego if you're interested - as you can see from my post history).

I started Codesmith almost 10 years ago, and since then we’ve had 3000+ alumni come through and are out in the world doing impactful work across so many domains.

Over the last year I’ve been developing our ML/AI curriculum with James Laff (curriculum lead at Codesmith) and Alex Zai (Codesmith cofounder and Amazon Self-driving Vehicles ML lead) which we’re going live with today —> you can check this out [here](https://

Hey r/codesmith,

I’m Jordan, an AI Technical Program Manager (TPM) at Riverside Insights. When GPT-3.5 blew up in late 2022, it completely blew my mind, and I knew I wanted to start leveraging AI to build cool stuff —but I didn’t have any coding experience. That’s what led me to Codesmith, where I made it a goal to integrate AI-powered features into most of my projects, including my OSP, KubeVX.

Four months after graduating, I started an internship at a private equity firm, working on AI products for one of their portfolio companies. Over time, that evolved into a contractor role at the company, and now I’m preparing to transition into a full-time position there by the end of the year.

Hey reddit,

I’m James - Senior Curriculum Manager at Codesmith. First time doing a reddit AMA - looking forward to answering as many questions as I can in the next hour (7:30-8:30pm ET).

I’m here to talk about Codesmith’s pedagogy and curriculum - lots of exciting updates coming this year on AI/ML + TypeScript and more!

I went through the immersive program in 2022 and worked as a fellow and instructor before moving into my current role. My primary focus is making sure that our curriculum reflects current trends and best practices across the software engineering landscape

Hey folks, it’s the Codesmith team here!

You may have noticed a moderator, Michael Novati — CTO of one of our competitors, Formation — spends a considerable amount of time taking pot-shots at our program under the guise of being an impartial commentator.

We’ve tried to stay above the fray and focus on our teaching and our students, but the bad information here has gone off the charts. We love our community, program and team too much to not show up here. You might be used to his essay length posts, now it’s our turn :).

While there are some clear differences between Formation and Codesmith’s programs, there also exists a substantial overlap in the people we both aim to reach, demonstrated

We’re sharing preliminary outcomes data from August 2024 to January 2025, highlighting the career progression of first year graduates - it shows silver linings in what has been a tough market.

It’s obvious to everyone that the market isn’t what it was in previous years (and no honest program would claim otherwise), but the bigger picture remains:

Tech needs brilliant, adaptable technologists - folks who can navigate uncertainty and keep learning as the industry evolves - to guide and lead

(Leading AI researcher Andrew Ng recently said this to a room full of tech leaders in Jan - see our CEO Will Sentance’s AMA on this [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Futurology/comments/1i6sn8i/im_an
