r/exvangelical is a forum for those of us who have left the evangelical church to discuss our journeys and experiences while supporting one another.

This is not an anti christian or anti spirituality subreddit. Nor is it unwelcoming to practicing Christians.

If you’re looking for ex Christian discussion and support, you would be better to look to r/exchristian or r/atheism if that's something that would benefit you.

We are unaffiliated with the Exvangelical podcast and brand.

Please use the report function on any posts or comments that violate that idea.

RULES

No crossposts. We do this in order to retain the integrity of posts on the page. You may refer to other posts in other subs if applicable and healthy when in discussion.
Racism, sexism, homophobia, and any other outright hate will not be tolerated. Depending on the offense it could result in an instant and permanent ban.
Be excellent to each other.

Beyond that, the mod team may revise and add more rules as time goes on. This is a pretty relaxed subreddit, and I aim to keep it that way.

And remember to look for the helpers
